While other watches hang back in fear, the Nixon Scout Watch blazes trail with its I-don't-take-orders style and rock-solid construction. The chiseled stainless steel case and wide, punk rock strap give the Scout a look that both Rambo and Don Juan would wear in a heartbeat. Nixon made the band from nylon webbing, so you don't have to sport sweaty cow-hide from dawn 'til dusk. All this, and the Scout still adheres to Nixon's good old-fashioned values of trustworthy time-telling. *AVAILABLE FOR US SHIPMENT ONLY.
Bottom Line: The Scout doesn't follow anyone's rules—not even its own.
Soo dirty!! i got this watch in 9th grade and is still going strong after 5 years. Survived thru hiking through isle royal, shredding in vail, montana, keystone, breck and north star. Not a super flashy watch but very unique
I am a little weary about using my scout in the hospital due to the things that may come in contact with the band, but I think this would be the perfect hospital watch.
Basically, that means that this watch is waterproof. If you ever have a reason to verify the 100m (328.08399 feet) rating, you have much bigger problems than what time it is bro - like getting out of the handcuffs and removing the anvil attached to your feet.
Water Resistant to 100 m. means that the watch is mostly waterproof until you are over 100 meters underwater because the pressure is too much after that point.

BUY THIS WATCH!!! This is one tough watch and it looks great!!!! I was expecting it to be huge from the pics (wide and flat/thin). The pics are kind of misleading and its a bit smaller than I expected (narrower and a bit taller). Because of that I will put up some pics. But I absolutely love them (I have a few). Very military tough. Love it so much I bought 3, and will buy 2 more if the right colors showed up!!! No backlight, but the hands glow in the dark. Only complaint I have is I wish it showed the date. And about the guy who worried about battery replacement, all you gotta do is remove the pin where the strap attaches with a knife or small screwdriver flip it up and change the battery Violla!! No sewing required. BUY THIS WATCH!!!
OK, I can sum this watch up, in one word ( long pause ). Indestructible! There I said it. Now go out and try it. I dare yah. This watch has survived all that I can put out, from long-boarding trips in the Moab, to bar fights in the SLC, to just working around the house. This watch is the best I have found in a long time. The glass is set in enough, that if you do smash it down or on to something that you don't have to worry about it. In short...Indestructible. OO-RAH!
As mentioned by Steezzzy-E, I love this watch. Its just a great classic bullitproof watch. I always get compliments from the ladies on my blue plaid one. One great thing about this watch over some of the other Nixon's (I own several) is that you can actually tell the time with the scout. The band starts out a bit scratchy and stiff, but lasts forever. It breaks right in and you will never take it off unless you are replacing it with your Player or Rotolog. Thanks for the sizing pics Steezzzy-E
These watches are the best watches I have ever bought! I am allergic to nickel, so this watch is PERFECT because it doesn't bother my wrist. Each one of these I bought (all in different colors) is just as good as the first. The watches are light, but have that kind of weight that speaks the words "NOT CHEAP". I have not yet to test there water resistance, but I'll bet they will hold up. If you are lucky enough to get these on WhiskeyMilitia.com, BackCountryOutlet.com, or DogFunk.com then TAKE advantage! You will not be disappointed...
Well, not really. It is a quite, but loud watch. It gets compliments. Best part, is it does its job well, which is tell time! Get one. No really, GET ONE!!!!
This watch is genius. I wear my watch upside down, so the face is always in the line of fire, but the screen has not a scratch on it - its recessed nicely. I've had this for nearly two years, and I am still in love it. The band has two lock-ins instead of one, triple stitching on everything, really solid stuff. For laborers, soldiers, extreme sportsmen, this is the bomb!
I love my scout ( I have the gun-metal color) and I have to stay this watch is super strong yet it feels so light on the wrist. When I walking to class.. some moron slam the door open and it hit my scout really hard but nothing happened besides for the fact that it developed into a small scratch. I have to stay the watch looks so nice- even though it is so simple, the watch is beautifully made. I love my Nixon and I'm glad i spent 65 bucks for one hell of a watch.
During the summer the nylon gets ALITTLE sweaty..not as bad as other watches or watches with leather bands. It doesnt bother me at all either.. maybe b/c I live in California...
Anyways, Nixon makes quality goods and I would recommend anyone to get this watch.. Its so gorgeous and super durable and so so awesome!!
I have had my scout for over 4 years and thing is still working as if it were brand new. The metal around the face scratches easily, but it's not too big of a deal. The hands glow at night, but only if you were in direction sunlight before or else you get very little to no glow. It's super accurate and the band is still in pretty good condition after all of these years. There is apparent fading, but it still looks very nice. The only bad thing about my band is it kind of soaks up smells if it gets into contact with a some kind of potent liquid...for instance my band has a slight formaldehyde smell and this hasn't gone away for a few years now lol. So if I am every dealing with something that may come in contact with my band, I usually will just take if off and this includes when I am washing dishes.
The scout is a great watch. I've had mine for almost three years now. Still works fine. Awesome price and looks rad. what more do you want. Only one problem, your sweat stays in the band so you have to wash it. Not a big deal just kinda gross if you don't wash it.
in the past, i have owned watches like the nixon players watch (metal link cuff) and i didnt like how it would slide around on my wrist...not the case with the scout! it stays secure on my wrist and moves with my wrist movements so i hardly remember its there. simple and durable and a great investment. a date dial would have been a nice feature, but it does its job as a watch...telling time and complimenting the wearer. my only concern is how im going to change the battery as the webbed cuff is locked tight against the watch backing and i dont see how i will be able to access it when the time comes. but until then, im not concerned whatsoever
I've had this watch in black for six years. The construction is amazing, the band is incredibly comfortable and has lasted the entire time. I've only had to replace the battery twice, and the construction of the watch itself is rock solid. I've put this watch through hell - whether camping, hiking, torrential downpour, concert, etc... and its always up to the challenge. I would absolutely recommend this watch to everyone and will probably only ever own Nixon watches. Total props.
I own about 6 watches and I wear this one more then any, I bought it in brown and it literally goes with anything I wear and its more durable then any watch out there for its price. A must have for anyone who owns a wrist.
This watch is great! Its lightweight, neat colors (I own the Red one), easy to read, and I get lots of comments about it. It also has a load of sizes to choose from, the holes are durably made.
This is all together a excellent watch, and a great buy!
love this thing- I've had it for five years and it's still going strong. It needs a new battery right now, which i have to buy online, but other than a small scratch on the face it's in great condition... And I've put this thing through hell. Surfing, skating, hot tubs, pools, hiking, summer music festivals, mosh pits, you name it. It's comfortable, looks great, and isn't horribly expensive. I always get compliments on it, too. Buy this thing.
Its an all day any time watch. Ive wore it through 4 countries now from the mid 50s- to the high 130's. its suitable for all places. its surviving the middle east very well. only problem is its not very bright at night. very low key but the ladies love it.
I have been through several watches over the years. If you're looking for a nice looking, simple, outdoor watch, then this is it. There aren't any extra dials on the front which, in my opinion, just clutter up the face. It is very durable, and very, very comfortable. I started wearing it a month ago, and have not taken it off. It is great!
Pretty sweet watch. It's large but light weight, good for everyday. The band is pretty comfortable and very adjustable for just about any wrist width. Looks great too!
