Had to return, 3 times
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this as the black tortoise and immediately loved it. SO stylish and cute. The clasp broke, so I sent it back to Nixon to fix. They returned it and the clasp broke again, so I retuned it to Nixon and this time they replaced the clasp. I started wearing it again and the second hand gets stuck on the 10 second mark. I had the battery replaced but it didn't help. The watch does not work. I'm so sad to send it back as I really loved it but I've had the watch 6 months and it's been at the manufacturer/jeweler for at least 3 months time.
Perfect Everyday Watch!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I got this watch in the white acetate about a month ago and its my new favorite accessory. The silver details are light enough to make it go well with silver or gold, black or brown, everything! Because it isn't metal, it's light enough on my wrist, but the acetate material feels sturdy. And the waterproof is great for when I forget it's on and jump in the ocean with it. I can dress this watch down for a day off, or dress it up for my job. I get compliments on it all the time! No complaints at all! I love Nixon!
High Quality - good looking watch!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
I got this as a birthday gift for my mom & she LOVED it! She has super tiny wrists & had to take a few links out, but the great thing about this watch is that it doesn't overpower her wrist.
The tortoise color will go with most anything - making it a go-to watch that it easily dressed up or down!
This watch is really great looking, HOWEVER you can't tell time with it because the hour and minute hands are black! They blend right in with the background and so it becomes nearly impossible to tell the time if there isn't enough light.
Its a Nixon
Of course its a great watch and has an awesome look to it.

Hey I've got a really small wrist and was just wondering if you could shorten this watch. I didn't know with the material it's made of if it was possible. Also if it is can you do it yourself or do you have to take it to a jeweler? Thanks!
yep, i have a small wrist too. I am getting 3 links taken out. This watch also comes with extra links to make it bigger (if you need it).

Is the time teller watercolor acetate the same color as the watercolor acetate that is on Nixons website? They are 2 totally different colors from this picture to the one on Nixon. Thanks

Can some one discribe slightly more what kind of material this watch is? I'm not familiar with acetate, I tried to look it up online a bit and couldn't come up with much.. Is it like a lighter plastic material, or a heavier stone/metal? Thanks!
Hey Challenger, acetate is a type of polycarbonate. Think of it as super-deluxe plastic. Looks great, very scratch resistant and light weight compared to metal.
This is the only watch I wear. I have it in the Tortoise shell and it's really cute. The tortoise shell isn't overkill or tacky like some patterns can be.
The watch isn't hugely bulky. I got some links removed and it fits perfectly. I have an average wrist and it doesn't look ridiculously large on it.
I've taken the watch swimming with me a few times and so far it's withstood the water test. I take it off in the shower and hot tub (steam!) as a preventative measure, despite the 2 year warranty.
Overall: sturdy, stylish, and perfectly sized.
