Nomis Hoody Insulated Jacket - Men's - 2010

When the snow guns plaster the mountain before the big storms come, zip up the Nomis Hoody Insulated Jacket and battle the cold as you lap the park. Weeks of cold temps are torture without snow, but with this big, loose insulated hoody, you can keep your tricks on lock-down while you stay warm and comfortable in the single-digit days with no snow clouds in sight.

  • Critically taped seams and a Teflon DWR finish keep the snow and melting snow out as you ride
  • Cool off your working body with the mesh-lined underarm vents
  • Lycra spandex wrist gaiters wrap around your thumb so you don’t get any snow inside your sleeves
  • Adjustable hood and soft collar give your face a place to hide on stormy days

Bottom Line: Make it through another dry cold snap with the Hoody.

I was pretty stoked when i got this jacket in the mail. I got the OG Red stripe one (shell version only) and it looks sick. I'm 5'6 140 lbs and got the medium and it fits perfectly - completely covers my butt and down to the thighs. Also, the pow skirt isn't removal but can be stowed away. However, I am a bit disappointed at the lack of pockets. There's only 2 in front and one small one inside for your phone/mp3 player. Also if you wear a helmet, the hood isn't big enough to fit over your head (w/helmet). And there is no storm flap for the front zipper. I guess they really were trying to make this thing look like a hoody. Sick looking jacket nonetheless.

Riley,
This insulated Hoody jacket would be great for those SNOWY days, and with the 80gram insulation fill weight... you should be extra cozy! This is not as warm as our other insulated or down pieces, since it does not have a zipper flap/cover to eliminate any cold drafts! This piece fits like a hoody, but functions as Outerwear!

I hope you enjoy!

Many Thanks!

I'm 6' 170 lbs 33" waist and 39" chest. I am stuck deciding between the large and medium. I want a slimmer fit because I dont like my jackets flowing around the waistline. According to the size guide a medium will fit but what do you suggest?

Thanks

Brent,
I am 6', 150, and rock a Large on most days. To provide extra room for layering. This jacket sits well below my waistline, with size L. Perhaps go with the Medium, for your size preference?

Many Thanks! Have a great season!

Hi I want to buy my boyfriend this jacket in black and he is 6'3 and like about 145-150ish pounds I'm not sure he's quite skinny so would a large be a good size?

Katrina-

Hmmmm... well the Large would fit, but could be too short in the arms and waist. XL or even XLTall would probably fit better. XLT is a size unique to nomis brand, especially made for slim/tall people! With your boyfriend having low/no body fat from the sounds of it... he will probably want to wear extra layers, anyways.. I hope this helps!

Many Thanks!

Hey there, I'm in the UK and haven't seen this jacket

Hey there, I'm in the UK and haven't seen this jacket in any of the shops over here to try it on. On the size guide I'd fit a Medium - 5'10" tall, 175 lbs, 40/42" chest, 32" waist. Do you think the medium would fit ok with a few layers under or would it be beter just to go for a Large.

Cheers
Dave

I'd also go large. These jackets fit true to size and you'll want a little bag-n-sag for layering underneath and freedom of movement.

Dave,
Thanks for your interest in nomis! With your description, I would go with a Large for sure. As long as you don't mind a little extra room on those warm days. But like you said, it will be best to have a larger size for layering! Enjoy the SHRED!

Kindest,

No, The Red Grid is from the SC colleciton (20,000mm waterproofing). This jacket 5,000mm, and uses a different fabric/color.

I hope this helps!

Many Thanks!

Joh- This Hoody Jacket is great for almost ALL conditions. It will not provide as much warmth as a Down, for the harsh, sub-zero days! but this piece has 80g fill weight of insulation and will definitely do the job on most days! Powder Skirt and pit zips will keep you dry and cool while riding powder, or lapping the park!

Have a great season!

Yes, the S is a 30in waist. I hope nomis does you right! I have this jacket in Black Garment Wash, from Holiday '09 line... and it still wears great!

Enjoy the season, whatever you do!

Bergs-- Sorry you did not pick the right size! :( The XLT will be an inch wider on each side. along with 2-3" of added length at bottom. I hope this helps!

With your size (6'1")... XLT all the WAY! This is not XXL, so don't worry about it being too wide. We pride ourselves on the Perfect Fit!

Many Thanks!
