These are the best sunglasses on the market. Perfect full coverage, stylish look and feel like nothings on your face. I own 2 pair of the Eyepatch and cant wear anything else. These are a must have for anyone tired of the same old sunglasses.

These Oaks rock!! They definitely have a solid build. I use them for everything. Running, working, hiking, driving, and just chillin on the lake. I get tons of compliments on them. They are definitely for larger faces. They actually fit my massive head (just short of an 8 1/2 hat size...). If you have a slim face then I strongly recommend looking for a different style. And as for the people that like oversized glasses, I personally don't think these are good for the oversized look. The bottom corners on the far left and right are somewhat square, and if they don't fit your face, they'll kind of just hang out over your cheekbones. I just personally think looks awkward on smaller faces. But if these will fit you, then definitely buy them!!

I have a "substantial" noggin. These fit PERFECTLY! The oversize lenses let no light in 'cept where they're s'posed to. They're comfortable, stay on, and the field of view is unlimited. Typical Oakley, in that they're crystal clear and there is no distortion. Got 'em off SAC for a song but they'd be worth full price . . . and I HATE paying full price! One other thing, with these big ol' lenses my next purchase will HAVE to be a Winnebago!!

be warned: these shades are HUGE. they look giant from the outside, and they feel roomy from the inside. If you have anything but a large head, stay away from these sunglasses unless you want to look like a fool. I use these for driving and they are super comfortable, even after a 6 hour drive. The lenses on these are so big that I might even break them out for a day on the slopes if it gets warm enough at the end of riding season.

These are my favorite sunglasses! I have the Nicky Hayden edition which has the orange "O" on the sides. I agree with wintergreen on this review. No sunlight get's through these. The picture your eyes see drastically improves even in the worst of sunlight. They are stylish and SICK! Board safe homies!

These are one of my Oakley favorites. The Eyepatch has good all around coverage, no light slips through the top or sides.. I have a wider face and they work very nicely. They can be worn casually, with a bit of skater / snowboarder injected style. Oakley uses very quality materials in their lenses, and the Eyepatch does indeed have interchangeable lenses :)

If you can fit the regular Gascans how do these fit in relation to them?

Pretty much the same fit. Nose seems narrow, same as the Gascans seemed to me.

Has anyone gotten lens scratches? I know Oakley is pretty proud of their "plutonite", but how much of that is hype?

I've always had problems with scratches on my Oakley lenses. I'm not sure what else to say except I've had tons of problems with them. That doesn't mean I've stopped wearing them, just had problems.

I recommend The Eyepatch for anyone who's had to deal with small frames and lenses which leave you looking like you stole glasses off an eight year old.
The Eyepatch could cover up Walter Cronkite's eyebrows. The lenses are nice and dark. If you have the Todd Francis editions, it's probably not a mistake you do have them so congrats on being cool.

Lens: 2" h X 2 5/8'' w
Temple to temple: 7 1/4''
Arm: 5"

Great quality sunglasses, they were just way too big for my head. Went with the gas cans instead. Same look just not quite as large.

Awesome pair of glasses. They have a wrap around design, fit comfortable and you can see everything with great clarity.

These glasses are fabulous! My fiance loves them because they are big and provide great sun protection. Don't think twice...they are awesome...especially in green!!!...definitely unique!
