Description

Blow away the blow-hard (wind).

When sailing on the open water, wind is your friend. When you're hiking through the mountains, wind is your foe. Whether the wind is friend or foe, the Oakley Women's Lutsen WindStopper Jacket keeps the wind at bay while letting your body breathe. Soft stretchy polyester is shaped into a sleek jacket, with the asymmetrical center zip giving the Lutsen an angular attitude. The WindStopper laminate ensures breathy breezes and wicked winds alike don't get through the fabric. Tacking into the wind or gaining 1000 feet of elevation in a mile often generates some sweat, and wind can turn your hot body into a shivery mess. The WindStopper tech takes away the wind factor plus a little moisture vapor to keep you going longer.

The fixed hood helps protect your head when winds scream a little too loudly, and hand pockets hold essentials so you don't have to. A chest pocket carts your media device safely, and hook-and-loop adjustments on the cuffs keep breezes from sneaking up your arms. Wind can be wicked, but only if you feel it. The Lutsen jacket tames the wind so you can keep playing without getting blown away.

A Hiker's Best Friend

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I use this jacket on days where I know it's going to be warm and zero precipitation day in the mountains. It's also great for hiking and easy to throw into a day-pack for extra wind protection.
