Description

An embarrassing yard sale happens. A paralyzing one sucks.

When you’re working on a new trick, but don’t want to end up eating through a straw because of a failed attempt, pull on the Pro-Tec IPS Vest Protector before you really go for it, and get cushy torso padding with a full back support. This breathable, moisture-wicking vest features strategically-located padding on the sternum, shoulders, and collarbones, and a micro-adjust waistband. The molded hinged spine cap protector can be removed for less risky maneuvers and provides anatomical protection and side-to-side freedom of movement.

Mmm... Spine Protection

I like this vest because its easy to forget you're wearing it. It is easily adjustable too. I'm 5'10" 150 and I ordered the medium. It fits well, but if I were any bigger I would definitely want a large. It breaths fairly well, although your back will get a little toasty (duh). I also agree that a little more chest protection would be nice, but it is good for the price.

A little more...

I did eventually upgrade to a large and I was happy with the size. Somewhere in-between a medium and a large for my size would be great, but I do like the large more. Slightly longer spine protector and a little less snug. Obviously it depends on how barrel-chested you are... or not, but based off height and weight i would say (in my opinion), if you are taller that 5'10" and/or weight more than 145, go large, if you are smaller than that, go medium. Backcountry has an awesome return/exchange policy either way just in case

Fit is comfortable and it is lightweight
The protection is in good spots
a little more chest protection would be helpful
