sizing chart off
Sizing way way off. I have a head circumference of 59cm so I ordered the XL. Is way WAY too big. Should have got the L. I had it shipped to Aus so I am now going to have to sell on EBay.......very disappointed.
Apart from that though - it is a sick helmet.
Pro Tec Vigilante with Audio
I have the Vigilante with audio and I really like it. It had some pressure points, but I was able to compress the styrofoam on the inside of the helmet to make them go away and it now it is great. The adjustment knob on the back of the helmet makes it easy to get a nice snug fit.
The audio is pretty good for helmet speakers. The best part is the mute and volume on each side of the helmet. Finally someone made adjustments that are glove friendly!
All in all a great helmet when you factor in comfort, speaker quality and button functionality.

Jack from helmet will go right in the iPod port no problem.
Great Helmet... slightly off fit for me
I recently purchased the Andreas Wiig version of the helmet (the $174 one). The only issue that I had is that in the area right above my ears as my head starts to curve I had a pressure point on either side. I remedied this by taking the smooth part of a pliers and pushed that area in. I also removed the padding and can now wear my beenie underneath. All in all, it took about 10 minutes to get it the way I want, and now I love it.
Also, I wanted to add that it did come with the plantronics headphones.
I thought it was going to be cold around the ears because of the leather ear surrounds but this helmet has kept my ears very warm. On a zero degree day, I used one of those thin full head and face pull over things under the helment and I was perfect. I don't have much to compare the sound to other than a lot of non-helmet headphones but I am satisfied with the sound. It is balanced, if you're looking for bass heavy speakers, this might not be for you. On the other hand, if you are worried about too much treble that you can get from a cheap speaker; don't worry about it.
Watch out - don't let the price grab you. These helmets do not come with audioforce. For the price of the helmet, although discounted, you are mislead into thinking this great helmet at a great price only really comes with BOA and RECCO. Again, at the 124 price point, this helmet DOES NOT include Audioforce. You can try confirming with a chat rep, but they might tell you it has all 3 only to receive it without the audioforce. In my situation, I was assured over chat that it had all 3 and I received it without the audioforce. It was explained that the chat rep only goes by the picture and that they have the wrong picture posted for this helmet.
