After just a few days in new shoes with the Enduro footbed upgrade, it's like a custom shoe. I love these. A must-get with a set of new shoes. Also, FYI, the Backcountry sizing chart for these is spot on.
You can fit a lot in here -- shaving cream, shampoo, hand cream, a big bar of soap, razor, toothbrush, pills of all sorts. Whether you're going for a weekend jaunt or a long adventure, you can get maximum cargo in the smallest possible space. Dakine hits the nail on the head here. It's the best bag I've used for toiletries by far.
I can't buy a new pair of shoes w/o buying a set of these insoles, too. I put them in everything -- light running shoes, trail running shoes, golf shoes -- you name it. I have a super-high arch and this keeps my feet from collapsing inward. After just a few days they feel akin to custom orthotics. Beautiful! Also, FYI, the Backcountry sizing chart is spot-on right.
Yes, i understand compression tights are supposed to be tight. But getting into these is like putting on a sausage casing. For folks above 150lbs, getting dressed may end up being the hardest part of the workout.
The tortoise is pure old school class. The size of the frames and lenses is perfect. The optics are impeccable. FWIW I am 5'10", 170# with a normal build and the Medium size frame was perfect. i couldn't imagine choosing large unless you are big! Love these shades.
