Love this jacket. Kept me warm and dry in Japan pow. The high zip on the collar is the best. While the waist sits longer than most Patagonia jackets, I still wish it had a slightly longer fit. Still stoked on it though.
Looking for a mid-weight base layer. Cute as a shirt, but not going to cut it for skiing. The DryRide label had me thinking it would be quality material, but the tags list 80% cotton to 20% synthetic (polyester? can't remember). To be a base layer in my book there should be no cotton - otherwise your core doesn't stay warm/dry.
These pants are pretty legit. Order your regular size - Oakley factors in for a roomier/modern fit. They have decent waterproofing and I love the cognac color. They were a little too tapered at the knee for my taste, and they were pricy for the amount of waterproofing, so I went with Armada. But overall, pretty cool pants.
Love the extra length, style and quality of this jacket. So sick. BUT the elastic hem would drive me crazy. With its longer fit, the bottom of the jacket hits at about your hips, but any big movements (park, back country, falling, or most importantly all those high five) shifts the jacket up so it sits at your waist. Super awkward. I'd constantly be pulling the jacket down to fit right while skiing. If it had a relaxed hemline, the jacket would be perfect.
A note on sizing: Order your regular size (I ordered up which was a mistake) - Oakley has a modern cut so it's got a relaxed fit.
