been on the snow my whole life, skiing as a small kid, then later switching to boarding... i love the steep stuff, and the powder. i love gear that i can get the most enjoyment out of, functional, comfortable, gear that works, no flashy shit, that's just bonus.
I have the 2008 version of this pack, seems a little different, but I will add my review. This pack is awesome. I use it as a day pack, it is probably on the bigger side for a day pack, but that just means you can bring more stuff :D. Durability is awesome, have used this pack year round for 3+ years and there is no sign of wear or tear. One thing I have to say is that, it isn't waterproof so make sure you don't put your cell phone on one of the outer pockets. Oh, and i gave up on using the camel back, too much fuss, i'll just stick to bottles.
So I have only had one day on these bindings so far, but they feel pretty good. They are maybe a little less stiff than I was trying to get, but that's not always a bad thing. They feel like they are built very well. I'll have to ride them some more to figure out how I really feel about them. I bought the green, it looks sick.
fits true to size, good looking shirt, definitely a must have if you want to rep your favourite snowboard company! only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the shirt doesn't feel super awesome to the touch... but i'm picky with how shirts feel...
Lost my dakine base pants, so figured I would pick up a new pair. My Volcom snowboard jacket and pants are quality, so figured I would give these a try. Fit seems true to size, i'm small in everything else (30-32 waist), and small fit me perfectly. I could have probably went with medium if i wanted it more bulky like pajama pants or something. Looks cool. Warm and comfortable!! That is all..
I had been searching for a down jacket that I could layer on under my outer jacket when it gets cold, and that I could also wear everyday on the streets. I eventually decided on this jacket as it looked great, felt quality, was warm, and was also a really good price compared to other down jackets out there... I can't say much about the durability as I haven't worn it much yet... I tried on both the green and black, they both looked great, ended up getting the green.
Rich basically has this review nailed... light and comfy. you definitely don't want to be riding around in an uncomfortable helmet all day, so i got the helmet that feels the best, this one. the venting is also awesome, when things start heating up, just slide open those bad boys and it starts cooling you down. i couldn't ask for more out of a helmet. Oh, and it will match up perfectly with the best goggles out there, Smith I/O. Also, great for sticking your GoPro on.
i got this kit a few years ago, and it is perfect... it has everything you need to get you going. the bag also has tons of extra room for any other tuning equipment you buy... i got another brush in there, some base cleaner, and a shop-size wax bar (good for TONS of waxings), and a few other small things. Dakine makes quality stuff!
i have a 155 2011 Heritage and i couldn't ask for a better board. other than park (which i don't go into much) this board is amazing... powder, steeps, crud, anything. its got a great look to it too, definitely different from most other boards out there... if you are trying to decide between the sl and heritage, and you don't do much park, i'd go for the heritage.
only tried them once so far, but these are amazing goggles... easy to change lens, feel great, look awesome... i got them in blaze team orange, they look great... and to top it off, a great price as you get TWO lenses... this buys a no-brainer!!
