It was my first beacon 8 years ago, finally need to replace the old one and I am sticking with the same one. It's super easy to use. It's the best for the price!
I ordered these boots for my BF the end of December. These boots are very light! Dual Boa system is pretty sweet. These boots are very comfortable, velvet linings and toes have been staying warm. However, I do have to return these boots and get replacement, because the upper Boa randomly came off after a day of riding last week, part of the exterior fabric was torn also. Construction of the boots may not be top notch, but they are comfortable.
I have always loved Salomon hiking shoes. My last Goretex Salomon boots were so comfortable and durable (lasted 7 years, over 300 miles backpacked). This time, I went with the ankle fit. I am new to the quick lace system, so far I like it, it's easy to tighten and loosen your lace on the trail. These are very comfortable as well. I had ACL surgery in March and have been wearing these to physical therapy as well, they cushioned better than Nike Air, especially on the heels. Good tractions, took them to Moab on a rainy weekend in 1st week of May, and handled the wet slick rocks at ease. I have not lost grips on these yet. I bought the purple color, it is true to the picture, the color pops out well on the trails, it's nice to wear something colorful and yet comfortable hiking shoes! No more earth tone boots!
I bought these pants for my boyfriend about 5 years ago, they were on sale on Dogfunk for 79 bucks! These pants are unbelievably durable, he's been wearing these pants for 5 years, his only pair. My boyfriend loves that these pants has many pockets, tons of stuff that he could stash in them, easy access to the cargo pockets, it's great for the days he is not wearing a backpack. The only issue he has with the pants is that the zip off liner can get heavy when he hikes, otherwise it is super warm. Most days he rides without the liner because of the weight, otherwise these pants will last years!
My feet are always cold in the winter, I have 3 other pair of slippers and slipper socks that I used to wear, nothing helped. My boyfriend is tired of me going to bed and sticking my cold feet onto him to get warmth, so he got me these for xmas. they are super soft, cute and very warm. My feet are warm in these within 15 mins of wearing them, decent tracks on the botton, so if you're living in the rockies and have to let the dog out in the cold at night, wear these, they kept my feet warm even outside in the cold until my dog is done sniffing, potty and ready to come back. I am not allowed to go to bed with cold feet anymore
between my boyfriend and I, we have 4 Red Hifi Subwoofer helmets. I love the Red Hifi because it is light weight and form fitting, if you have been skiing/riding without a helmet, try this out, once you put it on, it doesn't even feel much like wearing a helmet! Not to mention the subwoofer system is rocking, bass adjustment, if you have any tunes with heavy bass, the system will seriously shake your jaws, sound quality is clear. Just a reminder, it can be very loud, the guy sitting next to you on the chair will definitely hear your music.
only down side is that the connector of the subwoofer can get loose easily, and unlike the 1st generation Red Hifi helmet, the amount of vent windows are lower only has 5, so if you do sweat a lot, this helmet may be too hot for you during hiking.
