The details and usefulness of the bag are amazing. DaKine knows how to make a pack. But this pack was way too big and bulky for my tastes. You would need multiple bodies and 4-5 lenses to make the size worthwhile.
Fakers gonna fake with retro-styled glasses, Smith instead re-releases their classics with upgrades in lens quality and materials, that way you don't have to feel fake with some hipster styled designs and rely on true classics.
Usually light brings up feelings of weakness. But this hardened aluminum shovel is nails tough and sharp as a knife. When it's in your hand it feels great and feels like it could move a bunch of snow in a hurry. Which is what you want when those precious seconds matter right?
Tested by the SAFE AS clinic girls, this was the fastest assembling probe of the lot. Super easy and snaps to place in an instant. The carbon means it's not adding weight to your pack and stiff enough to penetrate the most hardened of debris fields. Great measuring marks along the side as a bonus and rugged handle as well. Digging it a ton.
I'm just beginning to use the S1 and can't say enough good things about it. It's faster digitally than a slow as mollasses Barryavox, more intuitive that and BCA and modifiable for an expert or simple to use for a complete beginner. Tested it's signal strength with electronics versus the BCA and had more problems with the BCA than the S1, something that I thought would have had the reverse outcome initially. Very impressed with this beacon.
Lightweight yet super strong. Heavy duty sharp blade, extendable and easy to use handle and the bonus saw which although isn't great for digging pits, is immaculate for cutting the occasional tree that needs to be lit for a fire or pushed out the way of our snowmobile pinned against it. Love it.
