I haven't sent this thing through the wringer quite yet., but have not seen any problems what soever. Definately a day pack though, but still beefy to hold my skis and food/water/equipment all day. Is low profile, and the pockets are just a no nonsense open pocket with a couple sleeves.
I know this isn't the DLX, but I still wish this model had the insulation sleeve for the bladder.

My review is based on the difference between the mid raiths and my old pair of mid ll beans. While the old LLs were waterproof, they were full leather and didn't breath. These raiths breath like a pair of lungs. I have hot feet and can normally hike in 3 season boots in the winter, which also mean they sweat profusely. I hiked two high peaks in the ADK in the spring in these. Adk mud, ice and snow, and my feet were dry as a bone. They breath great and are completely waterproof. I have a pair of mountaineering boots with eVent and breath the same way.
After reviewing the comments on the some keens and the merrel moabs, I went with these because they seemed to offer more support on the sole. Other boots soles seemed to soft for me and might not be as comfortable on longer hikes.
Looking forward to trying these out on a 28 mile hike coming up. Hopefully, my review will stay the same and I'll continue to love these!
