Just got back from testing these boots for a week in the Sawatch backcountry. They performed extremely well. They're light, comfy, and super stiff. I used to ride Salomon Malamutes, but I like these so much better. I had way fewer problems side hilling on icy spots in these boots, which is huge. I know some people have reservations about boa in the backcountry, but if worse comes to worse I can duck tape my boots tight. The boa is truly amazing if you're splitboarding. Leave them a little lose when climbing, then take 3 seconds to crank them down at the top. Then take 3 more seconds to loosen them up at the bottom. Almost like having walk mode. If you don't know what I'm talking about demo a pair at the store and you will see the light. Boots stayed nice and dry in the spring slush. These are really good for the backcountry, but are light enough and comfortable enough to be warn just about anywhere for any reason.

Also, they fit true to size. I wear a 10.5, ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfectly.

I dare say these are the best pants possible for a split boarder, or anyone who plays around in the backcountry for that matter. I had heard great things about fly low, and wasn't disappointed. These are a little too baggy for my taste, but I don't tele and didn't want the reinforced knees. Doesn't hinder performance though, there's lots of room to move around. Just a style preference. The dual vents on both sides of the legs are super clutch for cooling things down when you're cranking up mountains, I don't know how I ever lived without them. I was surprised that I can operate all the zippers, including the vents, with one hand. These pants aren't insulated, which is what I prefer but might be a problem for other people. I accidentally just wore my boxers underneath one day and was plenty warm. They've also stayed completely dry in spring slush and rain. These are super bomber and held up really well to riding tight trees in the back country, not to mention regular slices from edges. If you spend most of your time in the backcountry and don't mind the baggier fit, GET THESE PANTS !!!
