I read the reviews on this jacket and to be honest I found some of them to be on the edge of being unbelievable. When I received the jacket in the mail not long ago, I have to admit I thought there was no way it could do everything people say it can do. As winter drew to a close this year, I took this jacket with me to a golf course on a sunny day of about 72 degrees. As the day went on, some clouds rolled in, the wind picked up and temperatures dropped to around 60 55 degrees. Add in the wind chill and it felt probably more like 45. So I threw on this jacket and was INSTANTLY warm. I mean the jacket had been in my bag so it was the same temperature as the outside but it felt warm the second it touched my skin. On top of that the wind was moving at a good clip as it often does on a golf course but I couldn't feel ANY of it through this jacket. This is one of the most amazing jackets I own. I will never do any outside activities now without taking it along it is honestly that astounding. The only thing I don?t like about it as that the material on the inside gets stuck on my hands as I put them through the sleeves. It makes my hands feel as if they are covered with sandpaper because the material catches on them. Guess I need to start using lotion or something.
Bald head here. This hat is comfortable, covers my ears in a comfortable way and keeps my head warm without causing sweat. Really nothing more to ask for in a hat. The only negative I can think of is that it doesn't wear well with a 3 piece suit.
Love BackCountry. Dont even know how much money I have spent here last year... BUT I just bought this EXACT jacket on another site for MUCH less. Regarding the jacket, no one does it better than Marmot. Marmot is Arcteryx quality if not above at half the price. This jacket is insane. SUPER light weight and SUPER warm. FIts like a glove. XL 6'1 225lbs. Tight through the shoulders though (Very athletic fit), so seriously consider ordering a size larger than you normally do. Long live Marmot.
