I've tested a lot of helmets over the years and the Vantage is the bee's knees. The split adjustable ventilation is killer. When hiking or walking around, open the vents for maximum air flow. You can close just the front and keep the back vents open or close it completely.

It's lightweight, comfortable, warm and accepts audio options in the zippered earpieces. Another bonus for Fall 2011, the adjustment goes to a Boa system for easy ratcheting and a snug fit on-the-fly.

I really, really dig these gloves and find them my "go-to" gloves for any athletic pursuits in the Winter. They are the perfect glove for backcountry skiing with killer dexterity and breathability. They are great for temps down to about 20-degrees, though. I've had some COLD Dawn Patrols where my digits have gotten the frozen hot dog treatment after a downhill lap, but that's asking more than these gloves can handle.

I wear them while climbing, but definitely switch to other gloves on cold mornings for the descent.

They are holding up well after a season+ of abuse. Great gloves!

Great for Backcountry Skiing & Cold-weather Running

The pack itself is roomy and can haul a ton of stuff. I dig the different zippered compartments and dividers for small stuff, but it does lack a key clip and the back panel isn't so comfortable after a long day of hauling. The side-entry laptop sleeve is convenient, but don't forget to zip it back closed before swinging it over your shoulder... yeowch... Macbooks aren't meant to fly, I'll just leave it at that. It could stand to have a removable waistbelt for weight distribution on long hauls to the airport or around campus.
