just love snowboarding, and this is my second year. Last year I went black diamond with friends on Mountain Creek, all I can say is sooooooooooo humiliated. Now I am all better, I can go 1 diamond with you.
I got size small. However, if you wear any protection pads, then you need to size up, cos these pants are snugged around knee area. I am 166 cm, between 5'5'' and 5'6'', and when I bought it, I was 138 lb, now I am under 129 lb and keep losing it until I am perfectly comfortable with my pads. I love these pants so much that I lose weight on purpose to fit in, otherwise I can't wear my knee pads and tailbone protection, my tailbone pad is huge and thick.
material is nice, but not stretchy at all, ok for 90 degrees summer time, this is not totally pitch black, it has some little tiny white dots on it, you won't see them on the picture here, well, I think depends on your computer's resolution. I think it runs a bit smaller (or i gain weight unknowingly), I recommend buy 2 different sizes first, then return one later, it has 5 pair of bottoms, between the bottoms you can see thru your skin color, well, pretty much that's it.
depends on what you need. It only has 2 pockets, I searched inside out, outside in, only 2, that's it. It's definitely warm, you don't need to wear a heavy duty mid-layer, but a little tiny bit bulkiness. You want function, then it is the one, you want style, then forget it, it has no style, well ... to me. The blue color is nice though, love this blue, true vibrant blue. I only recommend the blue color jacket, not the other 2 color. PS I returned it because I want not only functional but also stylish. Otherwise, I'd have kept this one.
I like it, color is bright, nice blue, style is ok, it doesn't look bulky, enough pockets. However, there's a green shirt inside attached with the jacket that you don't see from this picture. I don't like that shirt because the color is ..... "ugly", so many buttons, the material is not stretchable, and sleeves are very tight (maybe my wrists are too fat), I will not wear that, other than that, it's a great jacket.
the picture you see here is for elbow (the silver you see is plastic, not comfortable), the knee pads are hidden inside, which is ..... "good", did the work, straps are secure enough, but while boarding they kind of slipped down a little that I have to constantly drag them back up to my comfortable place, otherwise, they are "good", $52.16 for 2, but I only need knee pads. Anyway ....
bought a white/black circle one, everything is perfect, except it was too big on me, so I returned it. PS the knee pad is not .... practical cos the pad is too thin, barely there, unless you add something heavy in there, but very discreet design.
I tried them on Burton store today, these pants are fitted oddly: tight on thighs but loose on hip and waist. if your thighs are bigger than 22 inches, then you will need size L, but hip and waist will be very, very loose, between 20 to 22 inches, size M .... vise versa. I think only size S or XS will look normal overall, only if you have model-like skinny legs. Anyway, I think the style looks great, very fitted.
wind proof, water proof, everything proof but bullet proof, with only 20 F something and a very windy day in Stratton Vermont 2 weeks ago, I only had one base layer and one almost nothing mid layer, this jacket did its work. Yet, it's not stylish at all, as you can see it is very puffy, but definitely an eye-catching jacket, people can see you from far far away ....
I love this one, so hot, literally hot. I tried it on when I received it, and I didn't even turn on the heat in my room and oh my god, I got warm up right a away, no kidding, and it's very stylish. For ladies who can't take chilling days, like east coast with only windy 10 F, very well, you should buy this one.
I bought a yellow one, love it, the actual color is not as shinny as the picture shown here, and it's more like true to fit, snug a tiny little on thigh area, if you wear any protection, such as knee or tailbone, definitely size up cos you won't have any room to fit in those protection gear. And it's very warm.
finally I get the chance to test it today and it passes the test. Today is between 20-30F, sunny but very cold and windy in north NJ, I only wear a summer's sleeveless T-shirt inside, then this jacket and a down coat. All I can say is awesome!!! very warm, even I didn't zip up the coat, I barely feel the wind and coldness at all. For the price of $28, it's a great piece to buy. I am 5'6, 130 lb, size S fits me right.
I bought "Demon Snow Flex Force Pro Low Armor - Women's" and returned it, reason is it doesn't make me look good. This one, same reason. I laughed so hard when I tried it on at home, my bf asked: "are you gonna play football on a mountain?" (he meant snowboarding) I don't know how practical this top it but I will find something else instead of this "football gear".
it doesn't seem a bad product, although I returned it. It made me look like I have hippo's butt. Give 3 stars because I haven't really tried its function yet, it just doesn't make me look good, that's all.
