I have owned dozens of gortex jackets over the years. Bought many fleece jackets, and this was my first and likely my last soft shell. I love it. It breaths well, the sleaves are a great length for my monkey arms. The front of the body is a little short and the jacket has a smal neck. If you have it done all the way up without the hood up, it is kind of snug. The pull cords for the hood are also on the inside of the collar, and rub on your neck... bad placement, but other than that. It is great. I just wore it through a 50km wind storm we had and it was great, before that it rained hard/sideways and this bad boy repelled water like a 3ply gore... you should get one of these.
I recently purchased this jacket and have not been disappointed. It is very warm. I got it to wear under a shell instead of my Burton down 500 fill jacket. So far this is way lighter and warmer. T-shirt is all I need under it from 15-30F. The slate looks more brown than grey.
Bought this hoodie a couple months ago. Wore it for the first time on a cold windy night in Chicago with just a T after I lent my jacket to my friend with no coat or sweater... come on bro, it's the windy city. This hoodie is great, solid hood, great thumb cuffs. I love the stash pocket, I always keep my phone in it since it zippers shut. My only complaint is shape related, but it might be just me. I found the sleeves to be long enough, but the body a little short. I am 6'1" 180lbs with a long torso and I bought a LRG. A XL would be to big. But this wouldn't stop me from buying another one in the future... or for someone buying one for me... :)
I have been buying BURTON jackets for years. This is the first AK jacket I have bought, and is definitely my favourite. I am 6'1" tall and weigh about 175lb I have long arms and a long torso and this jacket fits great. It is a little loose around the body with only a long sleeve T-shirt underneath, but when out and about dressed for the weather it leaves just enough room to keep you mobile. I love the zip off pow skirt... it allows me to wear this jacket to work daily. Lastly, the waterproofing is amazing. I picked this jacket up in Chicago and got blasted with some rain... I only wish I had been wearing the pants instead of jeans (I am sure they are great too).
I am 6'1" tall and was looking for a fall winter jacket that would stand up to a beating. This jacket ill take a beating for sure! It is def more of a winter jacket, and the lack of pit zips makes it a little tough to vent, but I just layer differently under it and keep on working hard. I am pretty skinny and have long arms and torso and the cut of this jacket is perfect. You should buy it :)
I gave it 5 stars, but haven't ridden it yet. This however is the 4th custom I have owned in the last 16 years, and likely with the way technology has progressed, my last for a long time. Backcountry's shipping and price ant be beat, get one while you can.
Well for a long time I have sat at a desk and drank coffee and coke, I still drink those, but in the evenings or before work. I wanted to make a lifestyle change, to drinking more water, and MIZU was something I could get excited about. I love their passion for 'free water' and no more plastic water bottles. I got a black 800ml and love it. I was a little shocked at how thin is seemed at first, but don't let that fool you, it is tough (however if I was going to drink a hot beverage form it, I wold need an oven mitt).
I have had a RED HiFi for the past 8 years, and was looking for a reason to get rid of it to justify a new helmet (finally the shell un-glued form the liner, woohoo). So I decided to try the Watts Hard Hat, and I have not been let down. I love the adjustable venting, and knit liner. This helmet has been great on days -3C and days -40C with the wind chill. I love it! If you care about your head and your wallet, you will buy this helmet.
This jacket is amazing! I am 6'1/2" tall and weigh 175lbs and have long arms and the Medium fits perfect. I had a burton down before that was a LRg and to big to wear on the street, this one fits nice in town and amazing on the hill, plus the removable skirt and cuff things are great. I have owned 7 burton jackets over the last 14 years and still have almost all of them (I have only given some away to buy more) this will be a jacket that I keep for a long time, and by the looks of it, will stand up to anything.
