These boots are stylish, warm (although they DO NOT live up to their -40 rating, not even close), and easy to get into. Fit is good for wide feet, sloppy for people with narrow heels. The worst part is the loose inner boot. It is cumbersome to get out of the boot without removing the inner boot. If you can put up with that. Great. Oh, by the way: The wool ones are absolutely worth the extra cost. The fit and feel is much better, especially the heel. It is more snug than the polyester ones. The polyester ones would only get two stars.

Yeah, it works fine, but no better than any other brand. And they all supply theirs free with their reservoir. Save your money. Just buy Platypus or MSR to begin with!

These boots fit a little small, so get them a little bigger, maybe half or full size. Toe box is quite roomy for average size feet. Heel grip is pretty good, which is why I got them, I have a narrow heel.
Here are my gripes: The tying system automatically pulls up the toe box as you are walking, no matter how you tie them, severely decreasing toe space. Ankle hold is marginal at best and the tread is very slippery. They are surprisingly waterproof though.
That is why I recommend them for walking flat trails or everyday wear. If you are hiking uphill or anywhere where it is rocky or wet, try something else, maybe Scarpa, Meindl or Lowa.
