There's nothing special about this bag. It's a canvas-like sack that is perfect for storing your board in the offseason or protecting it when you travel (note that this is not a padded bag). Make sure you get a bag size larger than your board size. I have a 160 board and the 166 bag was just big enough for the board to fit. On a recent trip, I was able to put two boards in the bag (I had to take the bindings off one board) along with two snowboard jackets and two snowboard pants. I also wrapped all of that in bubble wrap for extra protection. I'm giving this bag five stars because I knew exactly what I was getting and it worked perfectly for my needs.
I bruised my left knee fairly badly on a fall before I decided to buy these (no structural damage in my knee from the fall, just a simple bone bruise). Once I strapped these on, no tumble whatsoever affected my left knee.
These won't slide down your leg and they aren't cumbersome in any way. I couldn't even tell I was wearing them at any point during my rides.
I was very glad I purchased these because my days on the slopes could have been very short if I wouldn't have been wearing them after my initial wipeout.
I've worn about five or six different helmets the past few seasons (ones I've rented, borrowed and owned) and the Maze is by far the best helmet I've worn. It's very light, but, most importantly, it's also very protective. I've fallen and hit my head on some runs and on some park rides and most of the helmets I've worn have rung my bell. The Maze, however, protected me fully when I had a massive wipeout in the pipe. I attempted a 180 degree turn after a jump, I lost my balance and landed directly on the back of my head. The Maze cracked, but I had no ill effects whatsoever after the fall. Since you shouldn't wear a cracked helmet, Smith has an offer of 30% off if you return the helmet to them. I just got back from Crested Butte, so I'll be doing that very soon. I highly recommend the Maze. I'd give it six stars if I could.
