14 years of snowboarding and this is the best binding I have owned hands down! Here is why...
-Smooth buckle action
-Light and cushy straps
-Stiff Highbacks...but not too stiff
-Toe strap is King...fits any boot perfectly
-Canted footbed makes for a comfortable and natural stance
-Aluminum chassis is stiff and light
I reccomend this binding to any intermediate to advanced rider who wants something that works well every time. Pro.
I bought the Purple With Teeth 2.5L jacket for the soggy Northwest snow and I was happy to find that this jacket is not only very breathable but VERY waterproof. I love the hood and face mask features for cold chairlift rides. The "With Teeth" is pleasantly soft for a shell, and so far has proven to be very durable. Only complaint is that the zippers are stiff, but they break in. Size down. I'm a solid medium and I went with a small here. BC processed my size exchange seamlessly. Pro.
I have had trouble fitting in a lot of SB boots. Im always either swimming in them or cutting off circulation. My last pair of Vans nearly caused me to download on the best day of the year at Alpental because my feet were useless. Too tight in all the wrong places. The Encore BOA boot was the answer for me when others fell short. Too bad I wasted time and money on boots that didn't do the trick. Like the all black design too. Minimalist and sleek. Not for you if you like a really stiff boot though.
