I weigh 165 lbs. I ride 9/10 days in VT and NH, which means I'm mostly riding tight, thwacky tree lines. I'm wondering if I could size all the way down to the 152cm. I'd really love to have a board that is nimble in the trees AND floats well. I'm sure the 156 would be sweet, but wonder if the 152 would still float well for me and be even more nimble.
I bought the Men's version of this pack looking for a smaller winter pack option for my kids that included a snowboard carry set-up. The packs are pretty nice and seem well-built. Unfortunately, the straps are not even long enough to attach a kids' snowboard (120cm Burton Custom Smalls) let alone an adult board, as advertised. Burton is investigating a fix, which is great, but be forewarned that these packs are set up for skate carry, not snowboard carry. :(
has anyone had experience with a young person actually strapping a snowboard on one of these and hiking? Does it hold smaller boards (115-130cm) well/stably?
