The insulator is light and perfect for layering. Goes well well with the Burton 3L Hover Jacket, and quite fashinable too. it can be worn on sunny days when on the slopes or out on the town.
The only thing that grinds my gears is that the lining is white instead of gray like pictured on the Burton catalog. I know it's shown as white online, but white doesn't hide the sweat real well.
Still a good jacket though.
What can I say about Burton's AK 3L Hover Jacket? This jacket delivers in extreme conditions! The jacket has no insulation and I've used it with a fleece pullover over a t-shirt over a long T and I was warm and dry when I was shreding at Seven Springs weeks ago. But, I seriously think the BK Insulator Jacket works even better when worn under this jacket. The vents in the back are so awesome for snowboarding, even better than pit vents.
The price is a steep but you have to pay for both purpose and fashion.
