Awesome Helmet, built very sturdily. HOWEVER, the audio auxiliary cord shorted out after only a month. So plan on getting a new one.
They leaked water right from the start, I applied my own water proofing which lasted a few weeks. Also I have completely packed out the liner after only about 30 days of solid riding forcing me to cinch them down as tight as they will go to be able to get any kind of support.
If you like to ride hard all day multiple times a week, these boots are not for you.
This thing feels light and "toyish." It's made out of thin brittle plastic and feels like it would shatter on the slightest impact. Also on the one I got the visor was already coming loose right out of the box. On the bright side, it was comfortable.
Not recommended for heavy use. Looks super cool but doesn't
meet my standards. I exchanged the first one I bought for another because it had seems coming lose. I am returning the second and getting a different jacket. Although it is Gore-Tex, the shell is very thin and will rip easily.
I would not recommend this jacket for use in extreme conditions. It would make a great park jacket though.
I live and work at the mountain and ride almost every day. I bought last years model at the beginning of the season and they fit great and were very comfortable for a couple months. They break in very fast. Mine are completely trashed after 1 and a half seasons. they are overly flexible and my heal now slips almost an inch and a half. They still hold up in mild groomed resort conditions but as soon as I hit the technical I lose all support. I work in a rental shop so I know how a boot is supposed to fit and I know I have the right size.
Bottom line: These boots aren't for everyday charging. They wont hold up.
Water proofing is good. But the shell material is very thin, mine had 2 rips within 3 weeks of riding. I called Burton and they refused to replace them.
