I got this pack for some international travel and had problems with the zipper from the get go. I sent an email to Poler's customer service and they shipped me a new pack, no questions asked. It seems to be holding up great and I don't have any complaints with it. The bag itself is pretty spacious and the fabric is fairly heavy duty. I give it 4 stars just for the initial problems I had with it.
This is a great all around light. Because of the frosted globe, the light isn't blinding but it is bright enough to do pretty much everything around camp. I find it's best suited for playing cards around a makeshift table at night or reading in the tent. I would definitely recommend buying the rechargeable battery kit though to save on batteries.
This all depends on if you are flying domestic or international. Look up where you want to fly and see what they specify. And as far as which one is the best, that will all be based on your specific needs (do you need to throw everything in a duffle-like bag or do you need multiple separate compartments? Once you decide, hop on chat with the Backcountry staff and they will help you out.
The old Burton disks will fit in the Union baseplates just fine. However if you want the Union disks, the M6 adapter plates do not come standard with the purchase of Union bindings. You can pick them up at your local shop or REI. I haven't seen them here on BC.
You gotta love the pockets on this jacket. Combine the easy access to whatever you put in there with the Gore-Tex shell and the zipper system and life is good. Stay dry, stay happy, and enjoy the facemask on powder days. Pick one up!
