These are pretty good headphones. The three rubber tips allow for some comfort-customization. It is ~15.5" from the center of the earbud to the "Y" split, overall length is 51"as stated from the mfgr.
There is one button on the microphone which functions like the center button on the Apple iPhone/Pod headphones (play/pause, ff, rw, skip song, previous song, answer/end calls, prompt Siri, etc.). There is no volume control on these headphones.
I have had 15+ calls using the microphone and all callers have said that they can hear me well when asked. I have made calls in my office (quiet background) and while walking outside with wind (noisy background) - folks can still hear me well.
The cord is robust and durable. I wouldn't hesitate to wear these snowboarding or running. The surface of the rubber insulation around the wire is slightly less smooth than the Apple iPhone/Pod headphones, which sometimes affects the ability of the cord to slide on itself when attempting to untangle them after pulling out of a pocket. This is an incredibly detailed comment from a very particular person, hardly a deal breaker, especially for the price.
I got these on sale from backcountry.com for $11. They come with a small carrying pouch and a few stickers.
All in all they are pretty good head phones. I purchased a few pairs due to the low price and I'm going to keep them all for various locations (jacket, car, office, etc.).
