get the 146, you'll be able to fit your boots and most other gear (as long as its not too bulky) in the bag on top of the board. The 156 would be too big and your board would shift around a lot. I have a 156 board and got the 156 space sack and it fits like a glove in the bag, and i have room for my camelbak, helmet, googles, and gloves.

This is a great bag for the money. I have a 156 Forum Image and it fits in the 156 version of this bag perfectly with my boots as well, so no need to get a larger bag to fit your gear. This bag doesn't have much if any padding, so don't be looking to take it on a flight with you to the Rockies or Whistler, just use it as a sack to keep your board from getting dinged in the back of the car or in the Thule or to keep your gear together.
