I'd been eyeing these for a few weeks, finally pulled the trigger right before a trip to Colorado. It was in the low teens one of the days, so these got a good workout. I've worn AK and Gore-Tex Leather gloves for the past few years, and these are warmer for sure. At no point did my fingers get cold(the promised benefit of mittens), but I still had good dexterity with my pointer finger free.

One complaint: the elastic loop is not removable, and it's on the wrong side of the opening. I tried it for the weekend in Colorado, but cut them off afterward.

This board will be fine for a beginner. The reason the Custom isn't considered a 'beginners' board is it is a bit stiffer, but not so much that the rider if dedicated couldn't handle it. It's also a bit more expensive due to better materials & tech. Beginner boards test to be less expensive for the inverse reason. All it means is if you get this for a beginner it's more of a commitment than say a Burton Blunt.

Love these goggles. I am planning on replacing my other Oakley's with these next season. I have the flight pattern/orange pair, which are super cool looking.
As has been mentioned, the range of vision is superb. You feel like you're wearing a fishbowl it's so complete. This for a snowboarder, is perfect since we're going sideways.
The only thing that holds them back from the full 5 stars, is there is a small amount of visual distortion which I didn't have in either my A-Frames or Crowbars. This doesn't impede riding at all, it certainly isn't so bad that your depth perception is altered, but you will notice it from time to time.

I had 2 pairs of these gloves, neither lasted more than a month. I bought one from here, and another from Dakine themselves. They both ripped in the exact same place: my right index finger. Now I ride regular, so I'm using that had more to work the bindings, but that shouldn't matter. To contrast this, I've been wearing Burton AK Guide Gloves for 2 seasons now, and they look pristine. Fortunately the Broncos were just my backups.
Dakine replaced these with a set of Cobras, hopefully they're better.
