Looks: To each his own but I think they?re great looking shoes. Definitely something you can use both for hiking and daily with jeans.
Fit: True to size. They may be a little bit on the wide side.
Breathability: relative to a Gore-Tex shoe, they?re pretty breathable. They feel more airy than my older TNF Hedgehogs XCR. Still, the heat retention of the liner can?t be totally avoided so if you?re going to only use them in a dry environment, you?re better off with a non-Gore-Tex model. On the upside, I walked with them for hours in the rain and they did not leak at all.
Support& Comfort: Good support for everyday use and moderate hiking. The Quicklace was super comfortable but for me, it didn?t give the same security as laces. When using them in sticky muddy conditions I felt as though they?re being sucked away a bit from my foot. The sole is a very good combination of being soft and comfortable but not to an extent of instability of passing every pebble you step on up to your foot. You can run with them but they?re not real trail running shoes. Some people complained about traction issues but I?ve used them on dry/wet rocks, mud, sand and asphalt and had no traction issues.
They?re a very good all-around trail shoe and I would definitely recommend them.
