Love these pants. Super cute and flattering but also functional and practical. These pants seem to be able to do it all; they are waterproof, stretch enough to hike/scramble, extremely durable, and allow my sweaty legs to breath. No matter what I do to these pants, I haven't been able to stain them or put holes in them. Pockets are convenient, as are the roll- up legs and color choices are awesome. Highly recommend!
I ordered this jacket for a backpacking trip in the Adirondacks because I was expecting rain. I appreciated that it was lightweight, would pack into the pocket and would keep me dry. I figured that this would also come in use for around town because I can easily throw it in my purse if it looks like rain.
That being said, the things I like about this jacket are that it fits great and looks cute, with some room to layer underneath. The color (Sea glass) is also very nice. I like that you can adjust the sleeves and hood with Velcro and cinch the elastic waistband to fit. I was not out in all-out downpour, but it deflected rain very well. It also kept the wind out at the exposed summits. It packs easily into the pocket and takes up minimal space and weight, so it worked as intended.
What I don't like is that after having it packed up into the pocket for 2-3 days the jacket is impossibly wrinkled. After a week of hanging the jacket, nothing has changed. It looks terrible and I don't think I would want to wear it out in public now. I am afraid to pack it up inside the pocket again for fear of more wrinkles.
I bought my sister-in-law the Columbia Arcadia and this jacket did not have the same issue, so I will likely exchange unless I can figure out how to get these wrinkles out in the next day or so. Pointers welcome!
This shirt is really cute and the fit is great, but I was really disappointed because when I received it, it had no fleece and taffeta lining, as is advertised. Without the liner, I just couldn't justify the $85 price tag for a polyester plaid shirt... this item went back.
Wear this shirt on and off the mountain. Super soft, warm and dry. Love the fit and color. One of my staples for a cold day.
Loved the look of these online, but not so much out of the box. I am normally a medium in Burton, but ordered a large in these pants because of the slim fit- I like to have room for a base layer and room to move. Firstly, these pants are made for a giant. I don't know how many women are 7' tall, but that's who the length of this pant is for. I am 5'9" and these pants were conservatively 4" too long, which looked completely ridiculous and is not at all practical. Also, the waist of these was enormous, which I had anticipated having ordered the large, but the thighs were still snug. If you have a large booty and skinny long legs, these will probably fit great. Also, the velcro used to seal the pockets was super rough and scratchy, which would be irritating every time you need to access the pockets.
Lots of pockets though, which is great, and some cool hooks etc, for a lift ticket or season pass. I got the Keef, and the color was awesome. As I sent these back, I could not comment on the warmth, but the material seemed like good Burton quality that would keep you warm and dry.
In the end, the length and restricted leg movements were a deal breaker for me, so I opted to send them back in exchange for a more functional design.
Bought these for my husband for Christmas. He has last seasons version, and he basically lives in them, so he needed a replacement pair. Not sure why Burton changed something that worked and looked great, but these are WAY too short. My husband is average build, 6' and I ordered the Large, (which fit great last season) and these are basically flood pants on him. If that is what he wanted, would have ordered a shant pant. These are going back. Shame Burton had to go and mess with a good thing. Would not recommend to anyone who isn't short.
Got these boots for Christmas. They are amazingly awesome. Great quality, so warm and comfortable and they look as cute as a boot this functional possibly can. Love how the sole is slightly curved, makes it even more comfortable for walking. True to size. These are best worn with a thick sock. Have not tried them out in the snow or rain yet. I plan on wearing them to many trips to the mountain, so here's to crossed fingers that they can take many seasons of use and abuse!
