I have skinny ankles so I did have to put in the j-bars, but they are the first boots I've worn with minimal heel slip. I also had to buy them 1/2 size large to avoid numb toes. Very cushy boot and very adjustable with the lace system. The warming liner is a cool idea, but at $70 a battery, I didn't bother. I did a lot of back country hiking with them and it was as comfortable as wearing my hiking boots. The boots look damn good too (in white) :)

Best socks I ever wore snowboarding. I brought 4 different types of socks along on the 4 day trip, but these eesa socks were so cushy and stayed up so well, I wore the same pair every day. They were rank by day 4, but they were so comfortable I just couldn't bear to wear the others.
