i really wanted to like this. the wrist gaiters are funky, but once you get used to them they are fine. 10k breath-ability is questionable. any heat and this thing feels like wearing a garbage bag.
the deal breaker was the stitching coming apart. about 5 days of use and along both sides the sticthing was gone, with big holes just behind the pockets.
got one. this is cheating.
I got maybe 20 days out of these before the fabric wore out and the pocket fell off. since that's where the waterproofing is they were dead after that. fabric was pretty worn out in other places too. Not even close to worth the price. I'll give them 3 stars for breathability though, they are nice to hike in, got not daily resort riding.
water and bomb proof, not a garbage bag though. the blue color is killer.
-zipper is on the wrong side.
-inner zipper flap is just cut fabric, it goes to pieces, you need to seal it with a lighter (lame. this is where it loses a star).
-skirt doesn't attach to most other brands(anything Burton) of pants well.
Someone commented about the ease of lens change. Lens change isn't that bad, I've had 4 pairs. Field of vision in these is comparable to EG2s, but with actual effort put into lens technology. (Electric lens' are shite, they fog easy and have a bit of distortion). If you want really easy lens change, spring for the I/O.
This jacket crushes anything else made by a snowboarding company. You actually will stay dry. Burton AK 3L is a joke in comparison. Only flaw: the Velcro on the cuffs is pretty weak, and tends to come loose if you go starfish-ing down the hill. 4 PBR tall boys fit in the pockets :)
vision is great. Style is great. But... Compared to Smith's, these fog easy. I'm returning them for the I/Os
You Spelled "Aston Martin" wrong... have some F@#king respect!!!
not a bad goggle, fits well, good clarity. But it's not a phenom or prodigy. Compared to the spherical lens with the porex filter, the Fuse fogs easily. if you have issues with Fogging, spend the extra dough for the porex filter.
I have an '01. I can't seem to kill it, but I want a new one. Most other boards I try seem either slow and chatter-prone, or super fragile. This board doesn't want flowers, it wants it's hair pulled. man up. get one.
