I really wanted to see/feel these bindings before I bought them, that proved impossible. They seem to be a little on the cheaper on end... which I can't say I didn't somewhat expect for the price. There are these little rubber tabs that cover the screws for adjusting and one already fell off. You have to pull it back to remove the screws and they only thing that keeps it attached is a little nub under the footbed. So now i can't get it to stay on. But, they look nice! and they came with a stomp pad! I haven't had a chance to ride them yet, no snow in the midwest yet...boo. But, I will update on how they perform. You get what you pay for. For now I'd say it's a good deal.
SO I HAVE NOW USED THESE TWICE. NOT REAL HAPPY, I WILL MOST LIKELY BE RETURNING THEM. TWICE THE FIRST DAY I CAME OUT OF MY STRAP WHILE RIDING. THESE BINDINGS HAVE SOME QUICK ADJUSTMENT FEATURE INSTEAD OF SCREWS HOLDING THE STRAPS IN. AND TWICE THEY BROKE FREE. ALSO, THE SECOND DAY, THE TOOL (QUICKLOCK FORWARD LEAN) THAT ADJUSTS THE HIGHBACK ANGLE BECAME LOOSE ON ONE OF THE BINDINGS AND NOW FREELY ROTATES AROUND, WHICH TOTALLY SCREWS THE ADJUSTMENT. I STILL LIKE THE WAY THESE BINDINGS LOOK, THEY WERE A GREAT PRICE, BUT NOT WORTH THE HASSLE THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE TWO DAYS I HAVE WORN THEM.
Not many companies carry Rome bindings... any reason why?
Is this bag padded enough for air travel?
I just got mine. Zipped in my board, bindings and boots! I can fit little misc things in there too (gloves, hat, googles...). Fits comfortably on my shoulder. Not padded at all. But does the job.
