Description

Take cover, kid.

The Quiksilver Aker 1/2-Zip Top solves a few problems with layering: namely, either they're too heavy, too light, or just don't look that cool. And when the weather is swinging swords, most layers are itchy and usually have a wack fit. The Aker uses a mock-neck design with a 1/2 zip to protect your neck from the bees (er, the breeze) and 120g microfleece doesn't weigh you down and make you itch like you just ran into a swarm. Hand Hammocks keep the sleeves from riding up when you're trying to signal your clan.

Just received it so I haven't gone hiking with it, but it looks great. It fits well (i.e it's not fat like most shirts). I'm 6'1" 155lb and the large fits great. It's about 6.9oz and is not bulky (for fleece). It looks like it would take off a slight chill, or would be a good mid-layer in colder weather. However, it does feel a bit on the delicate side.

This pull-over is thick. I had been looking for a thick base layer for those cold days and this is the shirt that fit the bill. Breaths easy and wicks moisture away keeping you warm.
