Hit the road with the top down, no matter the weather.
You've got your granddad's old soft top, your girl, and plans to drive up the coast this weekend, but the weather's looking a shade misty. Don't let a little fog ruin things—with the Quiksilver Driver Seat Jacket, the clouds don't stand a chance. The durable polyester shell is spiffed up with a two-layer waterproof membrane and fully-taped seams, so you can keep the roof down with no fear, and a taffeta lining and back venting to ensure that you stay comfortable even if a few drops fall. If the day clears up a bit, you can pull over, stow the Driver Seat's hood, and pull a map out of the specially-designed pocket to plan out the rest of your adventure.

Warm, light rain jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
This jacket is a step up from a regular rain shell. It is warmer, with lining that feels good on bare skin and not that 'sticky yet dry' feeling you get when wearing an unlined rain shell. You can wear this over a tshirt in up-to high 40's rain showers and be fine. The fit is long -- it covers your butt, sitting well below the waist. It has an abundance of pockets for keeping your gear and hands dry, too. The only complaint I have is with the hood closures. There doesn't seem to be a way to tighten the hood around your head without just pulling the drawstrings and tying it shut around your neck. This is kinda clumsy and less than ideal. Otherwise, this is a great rain jacket if you're looking for a step up from a shell. I bought an XL and I'm 6 foot 220 and it fits fine with minimal layering.
