Fight back against boring dome-pieces by gearing up with the Red Mutiny Helmet. Military styling and a low-profile design revolt against bowling-ball inspired helmets. Red built in a visor that’s not only stylish and functional, but has been proven to keep gapers at bay as well. Thanks to internal airflow, the Mutiny has a stealthy lack of vents, and the adjustable internal system keeps this helmet’s lines clean. What if you want to take the Mutiny on a field trip to the skate park? Have at it. Just remove the earpads and goggle clip for a summer of safety.
Bottom Line: Make sure you don’t split your wig, wear the Mutiny.
I absolutely love this helmet. It fits very well and is a suuuper low profile helmet. The 'secret' vent adjusters under the beak is super cool, and doesnt add crazy looking vents all over your helmet. Its nice and light and you can definately wear a hoody over it, thats how low-pro it is. RED is the company to go for. Tech, style AND comfort all rolled into one. Plus ive cracked my dome on some pretty heavy rails while jibbin, and it has held up quite well
This is RED's Lowest profile lid!!! As if that wasn't enough to please me, Its rocks a nice mellow brim that strays you a bit from the norm and allows you goggles to fit perfectly! Its has venting that is all hidden away so you don't have holes in your helmet like you rockin' a bike lid. The vents channel air in for a cool head and clear goggles!!!
I have my bucket kitted out with redphones so I can listen to music while I'm murderin' jibs and jumps in the park! ha-ha... Okay, maybe not murderin' but definitely slayin':

This helmet is awesome and most the best for the buc, awesome lip in the front like your rocking a ball cap n very stylish, very sick helmet and will protect, wreck a couple times and could not feel a thing! lol
For one, the internal padding has been reduced to be thinner in certain areas and cut out completely in other areas. This makes the helmet lighter and more ventilated as well. The padding is strategically placed to be where you need it only. and of course, the aesthetics have changed.
I've always had an issue with helmets. Either they looked great and didn't quite fit right or they felt great and looked rediculous. Well the Red Mutiny II nails both requirements perfectly. It's low profile doesn't scream "safety equipment!" and it has comfortable padding in all the right places. the removable goggle gap piece and ear padding make this a great helmet for summer board sports as well.
I'm looking at the blue matte version however it looks different, a darker blue almost black color, on the Burton website. Even the light grey strap on this website is darker on the burton site. Does somebody know if they are the same helmet, just under different lighting? Or are they from different years?
Rocking the Mutiny II this year with REDPHONES and it's a killer set-up. Fit has really been improved in the RED line and the new REDPHONES sound super sick! Plus, it's easy to pop em out and throw into the headphone set for your international shred or non-shred travels. Super steezy with the micro brim and denim outlayer and vents well so far when doing some small hikes. Check out some Anon goggles to go with it, both designed and built in the same building!!! I'm rocking the new Anon Hawkeye and Realm Idiom.
I wear a Large- I also wear 7 1/4 fitted. But the best way to figure out what size your head is. Measure the circumference of your head and see what size you are. The sizing chart above is correct. This is the helmet I run. It is nice and warm. You will be stoked.
just like the title says. got the matte blue one and wore it out today. light, comfortable, forgot i had it on most of the day. kept my head safe and my ears warm. only problem i had was that it pushed my earphones into my ear, which turned them into earplugs instead of earbuds. have the redphones on order and cant wait to try them out.
awesome with the redphones too. rocked it out this weekend. even saved my skull when i bounced the back of it off the ground. no problems with my melon or the helmet. this thing rocks!!
this helmets great, took a tree branch right to the bill, the helmet cracked dowm the middle but saved me a trip to the hospital. and thanks to dogfunks aawesome return policy i have a brand new one
