Ride Concept UL Snowboard - 2007

The all-terrain Ride Concept UL Snowboard makes its ‘08 debut with all-new Ride technology. The UL (as in ultralight) topsheet weighs half as much as a traditional topsheet and dampens chatter. The Silencer 7 Tuned Core incorporates seven strips of carbon that transfer power from your binding to the board's edge, so you get superb control and response. Ride wrapped these carbon strips in a visco-elastic material, which filters out edge vibration—you end up with a smooth, dampened ride and plenty of snap. Made from urethane like your skate wheels, the 90A Slimewalls absorb impact for a buttery ride down rails. A twinish shape and quadratic sidecut ensure this board transitions on the slopes as easily as it jibs in the park. The copper-infused base gives you a ridiculously fast ride on any kind of snow.

Bottom Line: Carve anywhere on the mountain and play in the terrain park on the responsive, ultralight Ride Concept UL Snowboard.

Best Snowboard I ever strapped into

The Ride Concept UL looks incredible and rides equally well. If I had to describe it in 3 words they would be smooth, stable, and fast. I always felt confident in the board and took nice huge turns at high speed. Even over ice, this board never had me worried. The one downside... maybe I am too extreme.. maybe I got a defective board (i think), but after a run on my second day of right the base separated a bit from the board. I rented the day after that.. but went back to Riding the 'broken' Ride Concept which still performed real well. If this board hadn't broken.. I would have rode it forever. The lightness of the board was great and I could skate up hill with MUCH less effort. Huge props to this site for taking the board back, you guys are the best out there. I will never shop anywhere else

this board is unreal. not only is it lighter than the "worlds lightest snowboard" but its a full wood core with full stance options and 90a slimewalls. not to mention it's cheaper. i love this board. it is so fast and smooth. i recommend this to anyone that wants a high end ride.

Light with no chatter !

This board is almost as light as the Burton Vapor! But you don't get that chattery feel at high speeds you get with the Burton Alumafly core.
Ride has really stepped it up this year; The Concept UL features Ride's new UL topsheet (similar to what Burton does with the Vaporskin). This board has new sublimated 90a Slimewalls, the most carbon fiber that Ride has ever used in a snowboard, and a sintered copper fusion base.
The feel of this board is amazing. The Slimewalls and silencers give you a damp, comfortable ride in any conditions. The feel and edge hold are amazing; I couldn't believe the turns I made in areas that I usually have to slow down to get through. Base is the fastest thing Ride has ever produced. It is infused with copper to help keep the base from heating up and slowing down.
If you're looking for a board that is just about as light as the Vapor but doesn't have the chatter and restrictions of the kind of terrain you can take it on (no rails with the Vapor) and is CHEAPER to top it off! You want to be strapped into the Concept UL.
