Ride calls its weight loss plan Phy-Top, and it subjected the FUL Snowboard Boot to this extreme process. Phy-Top is a phylon unibody that's super-light and super-durable, and the results are spectacular: a freestyle boot whose weight loss is immediately apparent. The lower profile gives the boot better feel and more natural flex, as well as a reduction in toe- and heel-drag—and the FUL's weight (lack thereof) will amaze you. Even with it's low weight and low profile, the FUL maintains a medium flex (6 out of 10 on Ride's scale).
One of the ways the FUL keeps its weight down is its lightweight traditional lacing system with Boa Coiler Tongue Tied System. The Boa is a reel-type closure system that allows you to quickly and easily achieve a just-right fit that stays put. Inside the shell, you'll find the Intuition Mobile liner with Aegis antimicrobial treatment to keep odors under control. It's also thermo-moldable to give you a perfect custom fit. Ride also included removable internal and external J-bars that allow you to lock your heel down inside the boot while providing added comfort.
Shock-absorbing duties are taken care of by Ride's 3D-formed dual-density EVA foam Impacto insole, so your next flat landing won't feel so flat. The sole is Ride's ultralight Phy-Top 2.0 phylon sole with rubber pods for traction. To round out the Lasso, Ride hooked it up with a natural-feeling articulating cuff and a 3D-formed tongue to eliminate shin-bang forever.
