Great Starter Binding

I rode on these for 2 seasons and I liked them. They buckled down great and gave me the support I needed, both in the powder and in the park. I did have a few minor problems with the baseplate loosening after some heavy riding, and found myself tightening these guys several times on the hill. Not a huge deal if you keep a tool with you. I think these are a good beginner binding for someone who doesn't want to spend several hundred for a binding.

would this be good for a beginner lady rider? 5'10" with long calves. I read reviews that the LXH has shorter highback designed for women, so thought I should go for men's bindings.

It is all preference it all depends on your riding style I ride a soft board medium binding and medium stiff boot. I would tell you to look at the cartel est bindings because they are in the middle of custom and mission for all mountain capability, boot wise if your not tweaking any thing to crazy go a little stiffer to protect your ankle a bit more for those look at thirty two tm-two or burton boots.
