Cut through any terrain like a hardened jungle commando.
The Ride Machete Wide Snowboard handles business everywhere from park laps to backcountry booter sessions. A floaty Lowrize rocker shape teams up with the poppy Carbon Array 3 layout to deliver a snappy, fun ride that won't punish you while learning new tricks. The wide version of the Machete is recommended for riders with
boot size 11 or larger.
The Machete also uses Ride's proven Slimewalls sidewall technology. Ride uses urethane sidewalls that absorb impact to smooth the ride and allow you to ride harder, longer. They're also some of the toughest sidewalls in the industry. Along with Slimewalls, Ride’s Carbon Array 3 Laminates add stiffness throughout the board for better board control. All of this technology is built around Ride’s Pop Rods Core, which sandwiches Slimewalls urethane material between flat carbon rods for tons of pop without added stiffness. Ride finishes off the Machete GT with its Fusion 4000 sintered base—the fastest base material known to man.

Board is great, Service AWESOME
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
As a new rider I wanted to get a board to grow with ( I learned on a Simms Wrath). I like to cruise and hit the steep stuff (not much of a park guy). After a ton of research I picked the Machete. Board proved to be very forgiving as I learned and progressed through the intermediate runs and a few black diamonds. I enjoyed the Machete's ability to handle spring iced groomers, powder and everything in between. The board helped me develop a fun riding style and I'm having a blast on a board I trust. My beginner board was much "catchier" and dumped me more often when I got lazy. The Machate allowed me to push harder to develop my edge control (especially on steep work) and was much more forgiving which meant less falling + more fun. Plus, the board looks awesome.... classy black with top sheet accents that pop when the light catches them. Base took wax well and held up to some of the spring crud. Very durable edges too....
I sent this board back after two small cosmetic cracks developed on the top sheet. I called the MFG and was told to contact the point of sale (backcountry). Backcountry staff was awesome and handled shipping and creation of the replacement order. What a great experience with a great company. Will definately be spreading the word to everyone I know when they need quality gear and great customer service. Can't wait to hit it again next year with my Machete.....
good all rounder
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
great all-round board and used it for times when I could only take one board on holidays
