The Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings beat up the regular 390’s in the chair-line and stole all of their powers. With added customization options, the Boss 390’s are the new park-destroyer in town.
V-Rod “Rocker” Baseplates increase toe-to-heel power while opening up side-to-side flexibility with their unique shape and narrow footprint
390 Asym Highbacks have been cored-out to reduce weight and they serve up a powerful, anatomical fit that transfers energy more efficiently
Yes, I Cant InBase System makes wider stances comfortable with themselves by providing three different options—0 degrees, 2 degrees, and 3.5 degrees
SubBase V-Pad shock absorbers reduce impacts from hard landings, create a damper ride, and add more side-to-side flex
Contour 3D Ankle Straps utilize a low-profile shape and cold-resistant gel to ensure an anatomical and comfortable fit—with 9Times Ankle Strap positioning you can dial these in to deliver a customized amount of ankle support
ConFormist.2 Toe Straps with Toe Jam are low-profile, tight-fitting, and super grippy
Adjustable heel and toe ramps along with up to 12 degrees of highback rotation give you the power to find the best possible fit
Tool-free strap and forward lean adjustments make for quick and easy changes on the hill
I wear a Ride Jackson BOA Boot size 9.5. These boots seem to be smaller than other brands, at least in my opinion, so what size of these bindings should I pick up?
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. Bought these after my Rome rep and my friend, who's a Rome lover, sold me on them. When they work, they work well. They hold your foot in place and do their job...I used the 3.5 angled base pads but really didn't notice a difference from my other boards that have flat base plates.
HOWEVER! Like I read below before posting this comment, they are FALLING APART! Within three days of shred the paint started chipping away on the bindings and the ratchets...not a huge deal but when you pay this price for bindings, I think they should hold up a little longer.
Next, the heel strap started ripping after about 10 days...again...I rock my gear so this was probably inevitable but it happened VERY QUICKYL!
Third, as also stated in other reviews...the bindings will come off randomly and it's about all you think about when you're on them! Jump and they pop off, hit a rail and they pop off...it's the scariest feeling hitting a 60 footer, being 30 feet off the ground and suddenly your board is only half on.
I did call and email Rome about this issue with no response. I would not recommend these and will be going back to my Drake's or Raidens as after 100+ days they still work...these 390s lasted about 20 until I was fed up with them.
im 6"2, 165 lbs. gettin the scallywag 155 with rome 390 bosses. i wear burton hails size 10. confused if i should go for the s/m binds or l/xl, they say s/m is for US for 6-9 and l/xl for 9+. but i dont want my boots to swim around in the binds
Could go either way. I'd personally lean towards the larger bindings. With the smaller ones your feet may not fit in right, at least with the larges you could strap your feet in tight. Also remember the Dogfunk return policy is great, whichever size you choose set it up on your board and if it's not working return them or exchange them. Good luck, by the way, sounds like a sick board set up.
These bindings look great. That's for sure. Unfortunately, the paint chips off of the heelcups and the ankle straps rip. The canted footbeds are a great idea, but they become a bit uncomfortable if you ride big stance angles (I ride 21/-12). The straps tend to come loose when you land hard. That gets annoying. Lots of customization options, that's definitely a plus. The toe strap, which can be worn many ways, was never really 100% comfortable in any position. But worst of all, they just never seem to fit quite right. I find myself adjusting them every time I get off the slopes, whether it's the footbeds, stance angles, highbacks, anything. They always seem a bit uncomfortable. I won't be sticking with these on my everyday board because the bottom line is: nobody should have to think about their bindings when they ride. Once you strap in, that should be the end of it. These are fun to use, but I would only recommend them for occasional park shredding. Get these bindings in a year or two once Rome gets their s*** together.
Dope bindings. Super customizable for preferred riding styles. The Yes, I Cant InBase system works great as I ride wide stance. Bindings description pretty much says it all.
These bindings replaced my 07-08 390s, and they still have everything that made me love those, but they also have so many improvements. They have made them easier to adjust almost everything, including the degree of canting, and the size of the footbed. Also these have some of the coolest designs on 390s ever. I wouldn't buy any other binding.
These bindings are just ridiculous. Super good customization, and really nice feel. These replace my 07-08 390's and they're definately worth the upgrade.
I have ridden these and pretty much every binder in the Union line-up. They are definately heavier than any Union on the market right now. Rome makes great product tho(I ride a Rome Machine), comfortable, pretty durable and looks pretty coo too. But for less money you get an even comfier ride with better tech and pretty much a bombproof binder when you go with Union. Plus you get a life time warranty on base plates from Union. I've had my Contact's for two years now and I wont be getting rid of them any time soon. For an all around package tho, Union is the better choice. My next binder will be the Force's or the Data's, but for now and what I ride, Contact's are the sheeeeeet. Hope this helps bro
These are awesome! Super easy to adjust and easy to change your amount of canting. The Black and White design is sick and looks awesome. Awesome highbacks, flexy and asymmetric. Love to heel and toe straps. These bindings are extremely comfy and give you great control over your board.
Actually ben, all you have to do is flip your original disk sideways and you will be able to fit 3 screws in! I did this with my old Ride EX bindings and my Burton Blunt. So just flip your disks sideways, dial in your angle, punch in the screws and hit the mountain.
well idk about if they are getting the all black or not but i think that the black and white would look sick on that board i know that, this really doesnt answer your question but i still think that would look sweet.
