Rome Agent Snowboard - 2006

The Rome Agent Snowboard gives you the soft feel that riders like Jussi Tarvainen, Marius Otterstad, and Casey Neefus crave for park kickers and rails. The Agent has a Straight Triax 3D Carbon Laminate over an Impact 2 wood core. Translation: this board has a soft, smooth flex for riders who like to throw some butter into their mixing bowl of riding style. When it's time to charge hard at the big hits, the 5.2 sintered base will let you run like you're being chased by bulls. Full-wrap edges protect your deck from evil scuffy kinks, and the centered stance lets you charge switch without a second thought. Roll with the Agent and show off your smooth style.

Bottom Line: Goes down smoothly.

Best board in existence

By:
February 10, 2013

Alright, so here we are in 2013... and I've ridden this board every season since December of 2006. It's seen literally 15-20 ski resorts, several hundred runs, and multiple thousands of miles put on it, but it has been the best board I've ever owned. For the past four or five years, I've been browsing around looking at the newer boards coming out thinking about maybe purchasing one.. but then I bust out my 06/07 Rome agent 148 and kick ass all over the mountain... every year. It's like they designed it for my exact weight and body type. Ultra buttery and smooth, never fails. I seriously would drop another $500 on this board no problem if Rome were to re-release this older model again haha. Those of you who also have this board know what I'm saying.

I rode this board for the first time yesterday and I have to say that it's just a really cool board. Once I got used to it, it was very stable. It also has a nice flex. Not too soft, not too hard. I am really glad that I bought it.

I love it.

the best Agent in the last 3 years of its existence... a tad on the heavy side but only because it needs to take the abuse of the streets and boxes... very stable and surprisingly fast for freeride...
