Description

Rocked and loaded.

For those who love nose pressin' and pretzelin' off every jib and rail in sight, the Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard is your dream come true. Featuring a true twin shape, super buttery flex, and Rome's JibPop Rocker camber, this board is built specifically for park rats and jib monkeys. The board's JibPop Rocker camber features a small flat section in between the binding inserts for balancing on rails. The rest of the board is rockered, from just before the inserts out to the tip and tail. This makes for easy presses and an extremely buttery flex.

Beefing up the durability of a board that's built to be destroyed through grinding and jibbing, Rome has added Glass Impact Plates underneath the bindings to reinforce the core. A 4mm glass HotRod has also been inserted into the core, making for spring-loaded ollies and nollies.

Adding a bit more edge hold to a super-buttery board is crucial, and Rome has placed a Quickrip sidecut on the Artifact Rocker to give it more grip when hauling down icy park runs. This technology also allows your board to turn like a more playful, shorter board when riding at slow speeds.

  • JibPop Rocker camber: flat camber and rocker
  • Twin shape
  • Super playful flex
  • Impact Core Matrix: 40% wood fiber in composite material
  • HotRod Tech: Glass Single Barrel
  • StraightBiax Laminate
  • Glass Impact Plates under bindings
  • Quickrip sidecut: two additional mid-board contact points
  • Impact extruded base

More disappointment from rome

Well I got another Rome artifact in return and the quality of rome boards is just horrible, I would never recomend a rome snowboard to anyone. I recieved this "brand new" snowboard today and you can obviously tell there was a chip in the side someone tried to grind down a little bit but didnt do a good job at at. There are dents all over the board, not something you would expect on a brand new snowboard. I would suggest if you want a board to actually last you a while DONT go with rome.

Disappointment

I loved this board when I first got it, but everything is great until it breaks right? After taking it out riding on the park 4 times the bottom edge of the board started to delaminate. I am shipping this back and getting another one because I liked the feel so much but many of my friends seem to have problems with rome boards so if it happens again I wont ever buy this brand again.

maybe you should stick to skiing

Artifact ROCKER

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Well... I was expecting something different I think. Really wasn't impressed with the flex of this board. For me, and maybe it's just me... All the flex came from the middle of the board. From landings to presses I felt as if the tip and tail had no give and the board tacos in the middle. Perhaps it's for locking onto rails in the center or something. Handled poorly in the trees. And I know it's a jib board but I find most noodles responsive in trees. Also I found there to be very little hybrid in this board. Seemed all rocker to me. I think I prefer more flat with rocker in the tip and tail. Sick graphic though!

"I'm gonna marry this board!"

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

Got this snowboard for my 16 year old kid. He has been riding for a couple of years and needed a new ride. His excitement on Christmas morning could not be contained.... "I'm gonna marry this board!!!"
He has rode it a couple times and tells me that this board "shreds the pow, kray kray."
I obviously am the best parent ever and this snowboard has made my kid happy on the hill!

Great board

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I would ride this board if I could still rock EST burtons bindings.
If you're not set on burton bindings, ride this board! it is a dream so playful and soft, easy to press. Take it off jumps it locks landings holds its edge up the take off. I did love her and think about it a lot.

Sick

Really awesome board. soft but still stable and full of pop. When they say rocker they meant it!

Hands Down the Best Jib Board

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been riding the traditional camber Artifact for a couple years, and loved it, but I was so stoked when the Artifact Rocker came out! It's even better at pressing, still has tons of pop and is super stable thanks to the QuickRip sidecut. I have a new favorite park board!
