Hook up the Rome Artifact Snowboard before you bomb the next stonewall, latch on to a local school’s rails, or mess with a tub-a-lard rent-a-cop at the town library. The vagrant’s choice, this board rocks a positive camber to give you extra pop in the nose and tail for your ollies, while the Bronze Edge locks you on to the next ledge, rail or box without catching.
Pop Core Matrix offers a less weight and a smooth flex
Impact Base brings durability and speed
Bronze Edges gives you a crack-resistant, catch-free ride
Jib Bevel uses an extra bevel to minimize snags on rails
Positive Camber traditional camber delivers edge-to-edge energy transfer and extra pop in the nose and tail
Bottom Line: Rome’s team riders can’t get enough of it.
It depends if you are hitting more jumps or rails. If you are leaning towards 30 ft. plus jumps then grab the 156, if you are hitting jumps under that and a lot of rails grab 153 either way you will be stoked.
there both in the same ballpark as lower pricerange soft cambered park decks. ive ridden both, and i agree with the guy above me completely except one thing. the dc pbj has one of the fastest and most durable bases in the snowboard market. they are putting insane bases onto all their boards that are usually only found in +$800 boards. so id say if your good at tuning, waxing, and filling cracks and scrapes, go with the rome 100%. if your new to tuning and that stuff, the dc is a safer bet as far as a reliable board goes. plus dc honors their warranty insanely good.

I would say that the Artifact is a tad softer but doesnt lose any pop due to the popcore matrix. The PBJ is a sick stick aswell. But im just partial to Rome as I ride one aswell. I just think Rome puts a lot into their boards and you're not just paying for a name. Like I said tho, the PBJ is a sick deck tho. Has lots of pop, good flex, and pretty much deals with everything you throw at it. My buddys PBJ snapped on him 3 weeks into riding from droppin out a 15ft shoot. So I dunno if he just caught it weird or at the right spot, but its gone lol. DC makes great product, I just buy more of their clothing rather than their decks, but thats just me. But I would def say get the Artifact as i've demoed both

im trying to decide wether to get the artifact or go with the graft, i ride mostly park but still go all over the mountain and id say im an intermediate to advanced rider, what board is best for me? is it also too skinny for my size 11 feet?
ooo...tough decision. both are pretty amazing boards and you will definitely be happy with either. the only thing is the issue with the size 11 boot. kinda cutting it close for both of these boards, especially if you to like to take it out away from the park and all around the mountain. if you wanna try a wide board i can recommend the rome slash. it can do just about anything...and not in a newbie kind of way either. u can catch big air, float on pow, shred the pistes and its even light enough for some good jib action. its like that dude who is really good at everything...so good that everyone else hates him. yea, thats the slash...just minus the hating :)
im stuck beetween this board and the forum manual i want a board with good flex and super easy to press but can still hold its own on decent sized jumps what should i do
Definately go for the Artifact. In my opinion a way better built board than the Manual. It will hold up longer, give you better pop and flex and is just an all around killer. Also ive had a few forums to test(young blood and the seeker) and have found Forum to be not so great. Base completely seperated on the yb where they over-lay one piece of p-tex to the next, not cool. So yes go for the Artifact as its a better board and company to go with. Not saying that Forum is a crapo company, but after those decks, i have very little faith in them. I ride a Rome and its gonna be hard to go back to anything else
its the best board ive ever rode. its super buttery, but it still has good pop. ive been taking it to some pretty big jumps so its good for that. the bronze edges are a big plus too cuz they dont cath very easy
150 if u ride park and 156 if u ride pow/ any thing out side of park because the 150 has a sicker color way and its better to go down a size 4 park then up for jibs and such
if ur done growing it should be ok for jebbing and maybe small jumps but it will get a little crazy at high speeds and it will suck for jumps, cuz ur not going to get any real pop but if ur just hitting rails u should be ok id still go 153 but if u really dont want pink then go head and go 150 it will be a little small but i have a fried thats about 145-150 and round a 144 around for most of the season after he broke his artifact. But if ur not 100% sure on this board id go with the DC PBJ 153 (if u can find it) thats what i ride and im 6'1" 155lbs and it works great on jumps and rails and it still handles in powder just fine
I personally ride the Rome Machine 154w and I love it. I have strapped on the Artifact just to press it out to see the flex and its just a little softer than the Machine. You could also try the Postermania in wide aswell, but its a reverse camber. But just like Daku said, the Machine will do you just right
Not available. The Rome Machine is very similar, has the same core, it's a wide board which will accomdate size 11+ feet. http://www.dogfunk.com/snowboard/Rome-Machine-Snowboard-Wide/ROM0012M.html
in n'y a pas rocker pour cette planche. In other words, this is a positive camber boards; without rocker. Check the profile here: http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/boards/artifact/
The board you amy be seeking is the Artifact 1985, it is flat inbetween the feet and rockered outwards. making the Artifact even more buttery. Check it's profile here:
What board should i get if im looking for a fun buttery board thats great in the park but also hold up in the mountain? Rome? Skate Banana? or Forum young blood chilly dog?
the skate banana is one option but it can be chattery when your going mach 1... Never Summer EVO is a good option the camber at the tip and tail gives you stability in the park and when your going fast
id go with the forum chilly dog its light and poppy and can handle in some pow as long as its not to deep good it the park super soft like my buddy is 5' 4" and he rides a 156cm in the park and he still calls it a soft board so that should tell u a little bit about how soft it is. But it still has plenty of pop. SO IN SHORT GO WITH THE FORUM YOUNG BLOOD CHILI DOG
Rome Artifact, Burton Hate, or Stepchild Everything Sucks?
I'm really stuck on picking a board. I stick to the park most of the day, except for when I'm on a mountain that is actually worthy of riding, but i have my burton blunt for that. help?
this board is fun for like the first 30 days. it had great pop and fun on rails but then it went downhill. my topsheet peeled back, sidewall is disappearing and i can see core. also it lost all its pop and literally i can only ollie as high as i can lift my knees. for $370,even now at $300, you can get a better board. but if you can wait til it goes down to around $200 then it would be a good deal. espesh since you have another board so you wont ride it everyday. its an amazing board up to the point when it wears out. i loved it until now. hope that helps a little. the everything sucks will be a bit stiffer but more durable
I wanna compare this board to any of the pbj dc boards, what r the diferences between them, also i ride size 147 but my weight is like 90lbs so should i go smaller towards the size that best fits my weight even though it'll be short??
ya id go with the DC PBJ kids board and rock out about a 135 if ur doing a lot of park riding or if ur just craven all day u should be ok with a144 but id still go with the DC PBJ because it has more pop and has a steel edge for out side the park ridin' in short DC all the way
There's not a lot of change between the models. This years seems to be a bit better on impacts, top sheet seems a bit better quality and is still a box and rail killer. And no its not rocker, thats the 1985 version. Anything 1985 from Rome is their rocker line-up
they both are loose feelings not much differents! both boards are easy to press but the reg artifact will catch alot of edges while the 1985 barely!!remember it depends on your skill too..
the 1985 isnt any softer it has the same flex pattern as the regular artifact but the 1985 will be easier to press due to the reverse camber. the only reason it is loose fealing is because of the rocker not becaus eof its flex.
So I want a super soft board, i'm talkin like a noodle here. Is this gonna be what I'm lookin for? I just wanna jib, i'm not takin this thing off 60 foot kickers by any means.
There are TWO different versions of this board!!! People are seeming to miss that. The Artifact 1985 IS the reverse camber board, and the Artifact is reg camber. Suuuper noodly and so fun in the park. And NO dont go for a Capita!! Because they de-lam like a bitch and you will be pissed when that happens, just like a few of my buddys. And please don't listen to PEAKBOARDER, this person has no clue what they are talking about
peakboarder, i dunno if you've ever touched this board or know what the flex is like or even what reverse and positve camber is for that matter, because everything you just said makes no sense, this board is indeed not a noodle but its flex is very similart to the weapon, a skate banana is actully a mid flex board its not a noodle at all. so yes midwest shredder this would be a great board for you but so would the 1985 or weapon
The Artifact is not what you are looking for, it has the reverse camber at the tip and tail which is mainly for popping onto features. If you are looking for a buttery soft board to just play on the hill with, then i'd go with something like the K2 WWW, Capita Horrorscope (which is my job stick) the Signal Park Rocker or the skate bannana
