Description

Your love of shredding is the only love you should pay for.

Rather than pay for entertainment from a woman of questionable morals, stick your boards in the Rome Escort Snowboard Bag and get your kicks on the mountain. This padded board case carries two boards with bindings, tools, your accessories, and even your skateboard—so you can pop ollies in the airport terminal while you wait for your flight. Rome added a padded divider between your boards, so they don’t bang into each other in mid-flight.

All the descriptions talk about airports...

All the descriptions talk about airports and how easy it is to travel with this bag. But when looking at information on the airlines website, they say they wont take a bag bigger then 62 inches. So my question is, HAS ANYONE FLOWN WITH THIS BAG BEFORE? DOES IT ACTUALLY MAKE TRAVELING EASIER?

Responded on

I've flown with the newer version of this bag a few times and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I haven't had any problems with Southwest or United airlines. Usually as long as the bag isn't too heavy they don't even measure it. I've taken two boards, one set of bindings and all my riding gear in the bag without a problem. Great bag.

Is this bag capable of fitting two boards with bindings, plus boots and a helmet?

Best Answer Responded on

I imagine it would if you took the bindings off the second board and stacked them. You can put the second pair in between the bindings on the first board and at the tip and tail you could throw your boots and helmet. Hope this helped.

Poor zipper design

Dispite what they may say about this bag being able to handle a board up to 171cm, it's not true. It is long enough all right but the zippers do not reach those limits. Unlike most board bags the zipper on this one come 5 to 6 inches short on both ends. Look closely at the picture and you'll see what I mean. I couldn't squeeze my Ride Machette 166 in it. Why they disigned it this way is beyond me. I had to return it because of this. The Burton or North face are both a better design.
If you have a really short board this would be a good bag. Heavy duty material ready for travel.

Is there any reason why both backcountry.com and Dogfunk.com both list this bag at reg. price for $199.95 and on sale for $149.96, when ROME SDS lists the MSRP for this bag at $120?

If Backcountry has made a mistake, they're super cool about matching price. I'd call them 1-800-409-4502 or click the "chat now" button upper right of the screen.

hey just checking how long this board bag is as i ride a 168 board, would it fit in it?

Hey Scott, this bag fits up to a 170cm board and is approximately 7700 cu. in./126 L...

Despite the answer given above I assure you a 168 will not fit in it. The external dimensions of the bag are only 167. The internal dimension once you take out space for reinforcing, padding etc. and the wheel cavity is around 162. I tried to fit a 163 in there and couldn't.
If you have a 162 or smaller though, this is a great, solid, and lightweight bag.
