Rip it all.
The Heist is the most versatile of all Rome's Women's Snowboards. With a medium flex, hybrid rocker/camber profile, and true twin shape, it's a true all-mountain ride. Your buddies will be shocked that you use the same board to shred the terrain park that you were using earlier to poach untracked powder shots.
The folks at Rome laid up the Heist with three zones of low-density wood with extended zones of poplar. This gives the Heist a versatile medium flex. Then they added carbon Hot Rods at the tip and tail for added pop with a playful feel. Rome also added two additional mid-board contact points between off-set sidecuts for added high-speed edge control or to make the board feel shorter and more playful at low speed. The Heist uses Rome's all-mountain MtnPop hybrid rocker. The board is rockered underfoot and between the bindings, while the nose and tail are positive camber for added pop, response, and edge control. It also contains rods made with carbon, basalt, and fiberglass rods at the tip and tail to stiffen it up a bit and add even more pop to the mix. Rome's designers also added basalt impact plates under the binding inserts to eliminate compression caused by high-impact landings, and finished off the Reverb with a fast, durable sintered SinterTrue base.
- Rockered between inserts with camber at nose and tail
- True twin shape
- Quick Rip sidecut
- HotRods stringers
- Low-density wood and poplar core
- SinterTrue sintered base

Just got back from testing out this board on the mountain. It worked like a charm! I absolutely love this board. Also, this is my very first snowboard and I've been snowboarding for 2 years so I'm somewhat of a beginner. This board is perfect for speed down the mountain! Loved the control of the board. Perfect for any condition :) very impressed!

Would you say this board is good for beginners?
I think this is a good board that will have a steep learning curve. There is a class of folks out there that say beginners should be on a fully rockered board because the are really forgiving as far as edging go. Go back ten years however and pretty much everybody was still learning on traditional cambered boards. I think there will be some nuances that you will have to get used to with this hybrid cambered board, I imagine you will probably catch some unexpected edges from time-to-time. Fast forward to next season when you have really fine tuned your carving and those same features that caught you off guard are going to really help you perform ahead of your friends who have learned along with you.

This board is awesome! Great in the park and in the pow, not as much pop as the Rome Gold, but still AMAZING! Highly recommend this board (and it's at an awesome price-point too!)
I'm 5'5" about 125lbs, I ride a 146cm and it's perfect for that all-mountain rider.
