Whether you're hiking beyond the resort's boundaries or heading out by sled, the Rome Insurgent Snowboard Backpack holds everything you need to get after it in the backcountry. Vertical board carry straps with EVA-reinforced side panels grip your board, ensuring it doesn't slide around when you're traversing tricky terrain or boot-packing up a gnarly line. The pack's fold-down back panel also allows you to carry your board horizontally, making it ideal for sled-access trips where horizontal carrying is a necessity.

Inside the pack, you'll find plenty of room for a hydration bladder (not included) within the internal reservoir pocket and port. Internal avy gear storage stashes away all of your snow safety equipment, while the pack's sternum strap doubles as a whistle in case of an emergency. Additionally, the Bioformed shoulder straps and waist harness allow for a supremely comfortable fit without pressure points, while multiple exterior lash points are ideal for clipping extra gear at the end of a long day.

  • Vertical, horizontal board carry
  • Internal avalanche gear storage
  • Internal hydration port, reservoir pocket (reservoir not included)
  • Sternum strap with safety whistle
  • Bioformed shoulder straps, waist harness
  • Multiple external lash points
  • Waterproof zipper at bottom of bag

It Has great functions but bad quality

So they very first day I got the pack I put it on and tried to adjust the waist straps sop they would be snug. Before they even got close to snug the left side snapped off and I had to sow it back in. Second thing happened like a week and a half later I was putting a jacket inside there( mind you the jacket was not over bearing or stretching the packs entrance) and it tore the adjustable closing part. Lets just say "tough as nails" isn't referring to the product.

Is there any back support? Stiffness or soft frame?

Yes. There is a semi rigid back support in this pack. Load it up!!!

The only pack for me

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This pack is awesome. Ive hiked to many cornices with this badass pack. The board slot is sweet and the board never moves while strapped in. There is the option for vertical or horizontal board carrying. There is also a waterproof zipper on the bottom of the bag which is KEY! All the room for avalanche gear and also has really comfy shoulder straps.
