Description

Do you spend a good part of your day in mid-air?

Bjorn Leines has a thing for going big. Always. And whether it's first-try 9s over Chad's Gap or late no-grab back 180s down chutes with blind landings, he's trusting the Rome Mod Snowboard to provide the boost for the take off and the stability to stick the landing. The powerful Mod transcends the need for multiple boards since it was developed with twin geometry to handle front-country runs the same as it does terrain beyond the ropes.

The Mod uses tried-and-true traditional camber for powerful, precise carving and unmatched pop. Speaking of power, the Mod lands at the very top of Rome's power chart. Super-light regions of wood are integrated with the industry favorite—poplar—to make the AirPop Core Matrix core, and HotRods double carbon rods are milled into the core for even more pop. Kevlar impact plates underfoot increase durability by protecting the core from getting compressed by the bindings on harsh impacts, and the fast SinterTrue base keeps you cruising through flat zones and traverses.

  • Stay Positive traditional camber
  • True twin shape
  • Super-light Biax carbon laminate
  • HotRods double carbon barrels
  • AirPop Core Matrix wood core
  • Kevlar® impact plates
  • SinterCarbon base

A board that will make you its bi#@h

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This board will ride everything literally with no problem from ice to dirt. If you have boss style and ride aggressive you found your board. It is light and very stiff. But the board flexs so well you can play on it butter it go fast take some nice easy turns(which this board makes it feel like your surfing all the time) just do whayever on it. Have to add this board made leaving the ground whatever how better. Made me ride better

Literally DESTROYs Everything!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Seriously this board blew me away. The first thought I had was holy s*** it's so lightweight! Riding it was even better. Behaves exactly the way you want it to. Easily controllable due to the positive camber. Rome says it's stiff but I found it to be more of a medium/stiff flex. You can still butter with a little effort. Otherwise it rips apart the entire mountain. Carving is fantastic and hitting jumps is amazing! The double carbon barrel hot rods give an amazing amount of pop.....more than I ever expected. I haven't hit many rails or park features but watching Stale rip this in the olympics....I'm sure it's fine for park features. Overall the best board I have ever owned! Highly recommend spending the extra $ for this board!

Crush Everything

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you want a stiff board with a ton of pop that can crush pow lines to big booters, this is your board. It is not the best for pressing in the park, but if you're not a park rat you won't mind this minor flaw in the board. Great response, super durable, and fun board to cruise around anywhere on. I had the older model for 3 seasons: 70+ days, 100+ days, 70+ days, and only damage on the board was when I ripped the sidewall out early season on a rock. And it was my fault, not the boards. Highly recommend this board!
