With a reverse-free camber and a Carbon V stringer for added pop, the Rome Postermania 1985 Snowboard is the poster child for freedom, fun, and freestyle domination all over the mountain. Strap on the Postermania 1985 Snowboard and butter, surf, press, bonk, tap, stomp, and drop mad skills across every aspect of the resort. Whether it's a pow or park day, this Rome twin-tip shredstick isn't just a piece of sexy art under your feet, but also a legit freestyle ride with a loose feel and flat camber under the tip and tail for controlled turns and landings.
Reverse-Free camber gives you reverse camber between your bindings for a loose, free feel, and flat camber under tip and tail for control
Carbon V stringer adds snap, responsiveness, and stability add high speeds
SinterTrue base for high speed shredding
StraightBiax Carbon Laminate for added pop and balanced control
Impact Plates under foot improve responsiveness and impact resistance
Park-specific Edge Bevel for catch-free comfort and control with plenty of bite when you get on your edge
Bottom Line: Not just another pretty piece of wall art.
I can't decide between this board or an Omatic Extr-Emo. I like to ride a little bit of everything on the mountain but im starting to lean more towards park. Also has anyone tryed the Ride Contraband Snowboard Bindings? Im thinking bout getting thoughs to? Thanks
I would say go for the Postermania as I demoed this years for a few days. And all I have to say is its one of the smoothest, catch-free board ive ever been on. The flex is suuuper crazy, but still manages to keep up on groomers and some steeps. Great in the pow tho and in trees, and the response is sick too. And as for the Contrabands, they are good but me personally, I wouldnt get them. If you wana biding thats gonna last you many seasons go for a pair of Unions. If you want a lil more stiffer binding then go for the Forces or Datas. Personally I have a pair of '10 Contacts and they are suuuper comfy. You almost feel as if the binding isnt even there. When you match Rome and Union together they are the ULTIMATE combo. Hope this helps bro
I picked up this board at the beginning of the season and what really sold me was the flex. I've also had a couple Rome boards in the past and they're durable as all get out! I can take this thing from pow to handrails to pavement and it just looks at me like, "That's it?". Fantastic all-around board, and the reverse camber is sick. Buy one now!
I really need a new board and im trying to decide between a few boards including this one and the K2 Parkstar. I also whant to know if this board is too flexy for spinning some good sized jumps?

Got his board right at the beginning of the season, and just loved the way it looked.....then i put it under my feet! Reverse camber... but not like weapons/artifacts, but still allows a solid clean press. I could never go back to riding a traditional after riding this in pow, there is no "my back leg is so tired!" and riding switch in pow has never been easier. I would recommend this board to anyone, it's really a great board from pow-to streets. I hope this helps!
Rode a 159 at Jay last year and was a little worried about the performance on ice. Unfortunately here in the East you need to ride some bad snow to get to the woods so I was pleasantly surprised how well it performed (this is how I judge pow boards, as all pow boards ride pow well; what doesn't ride in pow well?). Obviously reverse camber so it shreds pow, so I'm super psyched to ride this this year in the good stuff.
I'm thinking about getting a new board but I'm not quite sure what to get. I like to hit the park up now and then, but i'm also on the race team for my college. I want a board that would be good for both kinda all around. I'm been thinkin about getting a Rome board for a while too. Im about 5'9 and 165 170.
This board is butteriffic...very soft and playful. If you want a board that is forgiving, predictable, and buttery smooth, this board is for you. I would compare this flex to the artifact, possibly Capita's Stairmaster...all of your really soft, fun, jibby boards. With the reverse camber, soft flex, true twin shape, and carbon stringers, this equals a board that is catch-free while pressing and buttering, but still poppy and super light....super fun board!!!
This board is unreal for jibs! So buttery dude, it's ill. i have ridden weapons, rossi retox, and this board beats them to the ground. It handles perfect in pow so far and jumps. get it i promise its too much fun to handle.
