Tough but fair.

The Rome Women's Scandal Snowboard was designed to tackle every aspect of the mountain with precision. The tight, mid-stiff ride puts power to your edges, but isn't without its softer side, either. 3D rocker at the tip and tail combines with ButterOut transition zones to add a bit of confidence-inspiring maneuverability when you need it.

The folks at Rome laid up the Scandal with three zones of low-density wood with extended zones of poplar. This gives the Agent Rocker a stiff, powerful feel. They then added fiberglass Hot Rods at the tip and tail to stiffen them up a bit while leaving the soft flex between the bindings for added pop with a playful feel. Rome also added two additional mid-board contact points between offset sidecuts for added high-speed edge control or to make the board feel shorter and more playful at low speed.

The Scandal uses Rome's No hang-Ups Pop hybrid camber/rocker. The board is cambered underfoot and between the bindings for added pop and control, while the nose and tail are rockered for a surfy feel and a loose, playful ride. The base is Rome's SinterTrue base, which absorbs large amounts of wax for several days of high-speed riding. The StraightTriax 30 laminate with 30 degree fibers are mellow enough to quickly adjust to changes in terrain and poppy enough to help boost you for bigger airs.
